The old battery started giving very unusual readings on my conditioner and gave up the ghost. Fair enough I thought as it's at least 6 years old. However the brand new Bosch seems to be losing charge really quickly. I don't leave the Conditioner on all the time - I take it off for a couple of days then re-attach, but when I do, the Conditioner is down to 2 out of the 5 charging bars and takes at least 6 hours to full re-charge up to 5 bars. The battery on Mandy's S1 is at least 10 years old and comes back up to full charge within 30 mins. I expect some discharge from powering the Alarm & Immobiliser but not to lose 60% of charge in 2 days. Any clues ple…

Hi, have been considering to get a dehumidifier for my garage. Received a quote for one of these for my 60m3 garage, but nearly £2000 incl VAT and delivery, which is way more than I was expecting. Was wondering if people had any experience with alternative and cheaper ones ? Thanks.

A few days ago, a window on my S1 elise dropped. The white plastic clips had detached from the window. Got new clips from eliseparts. Attached the new ones to window with tiger seal, let it go of. Tonight spent 2 hrs ago putting it all back together. Tested it, a small gap at the top, but liveable with I thought. Up and down it went, working OK, then a clunk, new clips had separated from the glass again. To say I am peed of is an understatement. Any idea what I might be doing wrong ? Is tiger seal not the right stuff to use (the tiger seal is stuck on the window, the clips have separated from the tiger seal). Any help or advice apprecia…

Entirely hypothetical at the moment but inspired by Dave’s mustard thread; does anyone have the Scrappington (or similar) carpet set installed with cream seats and sills and could share a picture? Picture stolen from Dave’s thread to show what his interior looks like

Anyone else seen this? I filled up fuel yesterday. Today, ignition on. All seemed fine. Fired up, went down the road, noticed fuel indicator showed no fuel, warning light on. Oil warning light also on. Came home, disconnected and reconnected battery. Fired up engine. Fuel seems ok but oil warning still on! Thanks for any help or advice. Ps: oil level checked ok.

Dear members, I have searched through the various threads (including Sands Museum) and applied the advice therein, to no avail. I have a 2006 Lotus Elise 111R, with 52,000 on the clock, which I have owned for about 18 months. Brakes were working fine until: In October 2021 I took it off the road for suspension / brake overhaul (wishbones shot blasted / painted, new ball joints, new front hubs - with ABS sensors). I sent the rear Brembo callipers to a brake specialist in Nottingham, together with new pistons and seals, sourced from a well known independent Lotus supplier. Shot blasted and painted, I refitted them, together with a new handbrake cable. …
