I'm looking at lowering the cam change point and am wondering on a few things: To what RPM can it be lowered to? Does this have any negative impact on the engine? Can anyone recommend a reputable business to do the re-flash? Approximate cost? Cheers

The factory-fit exhaust catalyst appears to have failed on my V6 Exige and the standard replacement parts are about £1350 including fitting . Any experiences with replacement cats to share, or alternative recommendations? Anyone ever used https://www.catman.co.uk/ Thanks

I'm a bit perplexed. I bought a trolley jack to lift my 2015 Elise 220 and placed a 'puck' on top, then jacked up the car (simply wanted to remove each wheel to clean them thoroughly). That worked but since a trolley jack can fail or sink I was advised to use axle stands as a backup safety measure but I can't see that anyone actually uses these under the axles (all forums speak of using flat top ones placed under the prescribed jacking points which unfortunately means removing the rear diffuser). That seems annoyingly involved and even unnecessary perhaps? I know that the Elise is very unstable on jacks and can even tip due to the critical weight distribution so I thought…

Hey all. So ive had my elise (1.6) since Aug and been enjoying it alot! As time has gone on ive noticed some bits id like to sort some aesthetic and some mechanical. Im located south Birmingham (Halesowen) so some recommendations of good people in the area would be ideal! 1. The front cover panel (just below window wiper). Should this be screwed down into place? As it looks like it should but the screw is missing. Along with a washer and nut holding the metal L bracket underneath 😅 2. There is no paint protection on the front clam at all and this is something i think i needed. But for paint work thats 11 years old its not too bad but theres a hand full of …

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I thought this link to the S1 Elise service manual might be useful: http://www.geppe.net/elise/doc__tecnici/S1-Service-Manual.pdf

Hi all. Who are the alarm guys that Matty use? I remember we used them to disconnect my alarm and immobiliser when we thought it was causing issues (it later showed it was something else!) and never got round to reconnecting them because, well, it just didn’t seem important. Failing that, do we have anyone local who knows these alarm systems backwards? Thanks.

Hi has anyone removed a non-air bag Elise S2 steering wheel without using the recommended puller tool? I don't have one and wondering if there is a technique for doing this? I've tried simply pulling on it hard a few times after removing the 22mm nut and washer, but it won't budge. I suspect its never been removed since it was put on in the factory. Cheers James

Hi, New to the group so firstly Hi! After a replacement headlight motor for a 1989 2.2 SE. I've carried out the usual repairs in terms of the plastic / vinyl studs. But still having issues. I know that these are not available to buy as a new item. I have seen a replacement / refurb option but this is based in America. Any ideas of a similar service based in the UK? Many thanks for taking the time to read the feed. - Simon

Hi At my last trackday, I had some wheel arch rubbing (oo-er!) at the front passenger side. Also, i then realised that the gap between the tyre and wheel arch is smaller on this side. Some people suggested a Geo setup might help, but would this correct the height indifference? By the end of day the issue had mostly gone, but guess that's due to me wearing some liner (and tyre?) off? I guess a Geo setup wouldn't hurt anyway as at my next TD I will also have a passenger, so possibly make the problem worse? Wondering where I can go local to me (Peterborough/Cambs/East Anglia)? Car is 2015 220 Cup and I suspect Geo has never been done previously. …

Hi all I have an issue with the wheel arch liners. (Elise S3) At the last track day I was getting a flapping sound above certain speeds on some corners and seems to be an issue with the fixings. In the picture of the drivers side front there seems to be one fixing on the right missing. The one in the middle was half hanging out, so I ordered some 8mm ‘scrivets’ but can’t get the middle one in properly and too big for the right hand hole. Can any S3 owners tell me if there is 2 or 3 fixings along this edge? Thanks Mark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all, I just did my first TD in the Cup and had braking issues as above, but only after 10-15mins, so being caused by heat build up. I have realised the pads I have in must be 'Green stuff' which I think aren't great for track use and I suspect are the issue. Disks seem fine and not an issue when cold and fluid has been changed in May. I always used Pagid RS42 (Blues) in the previous 111r, but I'm wondering whether to try RS14's? Also, can I get away with changing just fronts for now, or should I do all four? They're just bloody expensive! TIA Mark

Afternoon all. I think I’m on the hunt for a rear S1 Koni if anyone has one sat about? A familiar noise has started to appear behind my right ear
