I've gotta get me one of these, though it would need some thought to work well in an Elise CLICKY!

...one fantastically improved Elise Bought 4 new Toyos from Mr Tim Stevens and took them down Mike and his good people at Horizon Motorsport for a full Geo check and alignment. First bend -slowly - and the difference was immediately noticable. My vocabulary isn't big enough to explain how much better it feels Next bend a bit quicker and...well...its just feels more "neutral" - I always felt that it understeered too early, and the front was too light, but wondered if it was me being crap Tyres still need to scrub off the shine, but its soooo much better to throw around now...just feels, well, "right" ! Talking to Mike, he said that it was quite far out - th…

Right. I'm not sure whether to go all out and get Nitrons, or buy S2 suspension and spend the rest on bits? eg Maxogen etc. Thing is I don't want to buy S2 suspension and then wish I'd got Nitrons Also dont want to get Nitrons and then wish I'd could have used the money to buy Susp and more bits! What would you do?

Guys, after some t.w.a.t at work reversed into my parked baby the front end is going away for a full removal and respray thanks to his insurance company. Now in the 14 months that I have been driving around I have noticed that it's real easy to pick up stone chips.. SO looking into the cost of Armourfend or equivilants within the midlands areas.. Any ideas??? cheers waz

Anglesey on Easter Sunday was fantastic, sunny weather, lots of Elises inc an 111r and 111s, and a bright orange Exige (and his mate in a Noble) Highlight of the day was a sideways trip in Jonny's VTEC engined Elise (which can light the tyres up in 4th gear!) If anyone fancies a go in the car, Jonny from Bookatrack will hire it out at £500 a day. He needs the money as he has just bought 4 new Caterham Superlights and a huge transporter. Expensive but unforgetable... Jonny D

Had my grille (111s version) and number plate plinth painted body colour since I was, ahem, getting some other bits done at the same time. Got a plinth-size plate which looks good but I rather like the looks without, so plate lives in the boot, complete with screws. The plinth still provides some protection for the clam but looks more integrated now. What do you think? Worth it or waste of time & money? Graeme

For anyone who doesn't visit the dark side (SELOC): Race Speed announcement Quick message to everybody. Race Speed has got its position sorted out and is back in business this week. Outstanding orders should all be starting to get shipped before the end of the week. Le Mans is sorted as I will personally be paying the majority of the outstanding fees. There will be quite a few changes to what we sell. On the plus side the new Lotus OE partts searchable database is up - lets you seacrh by name on car (for example you can search on the US 111r variant). Some products will be disappearing as there is not enough margin to support the company - but engine con…

SWMBO and I saw a car the other day which she said she really liked the look of and she said that she would like one, the only problem is i have no idea what it was. It kinda looked like a Volkswagen Karmann (not the beetle version), but the back and the front were more rounded. It also looks kinda like a Ford Thunderbird, but smaller. It is very 60s looking but i have a feeling they were made up until fairly recently, they may even still make them. If anyone watches Re-Location Re-Location, there was a woman on there who lived in london and wanted to build an american style timber house in Somerset, she had a pale blue one. This episode was on about 2 months a…

Hi, Ive had a look at the Seloc/Connected track day list and recognised some names(Mike-though I know you have a passenger)(!). Anyone else here? Still being a trackday virgin, Id love to come and watch and possibly blag a pax seat at some point. Not only that I know theres one coming up next bank holiday so I would really like to see what happens and shake the fear of me killing myself if I did one! If that was possible, what would I need? So.....anyone got a spare seat? Or does anyone know if its possible to just "turn up" and watch and what the fee might be? Seeing as I live in Bedford, it seems a shame if I dont go and watch at least seeing as I am recently singl…

Is certainly good practice for heel + toeing. Not that I've got the hang of it mind Its either too little throttle or too much right now...seems to be easiest when your not wearing any shoes. Also, any passengers think you don't know what your doing because of over revving while shifting down or slamming on the brakes. And trying to explain H&T to anyone is like trying to explain the offside rule to a bird. On a side note, I had a wave of a silver VX220 driver today. Which was nice.

Just in from Lotus Further to the statement issued in February this year,Lotus is pleased to advise that despite major difficulties outside of it's control, progress has been made on the purchase of sufficient stocks of parts to launch the inspection/treatment/improvement scheme, and it is now anticipated parts will be available from May. Once again, thank you for your continued patience. Thought you'd like to know,so you can leave me alone for another month!!

Ladders/Simon What are you guys planning to do regarding Le Mans with the present shambles? I am a bit worried about ending up with the whole thing going $*ts up and not quite sure what to do. I paid the deposit and the full balance by CC and am planning on giving Owen the time to sort it. However, I don't fancy paying MRI again and ending up with a crap alternative and no money back. I'm also a bit nervous about having to re-book the whole thing and cocking it up because there seems to be a lack of info about what is or is not still included. I've read the stuff on SELOC obviously but it's quite confusing with 'book this immediately - no don't - wait a few more …
