There are a couple of things niggling me about my car (not really, but the warranty is up after the summer so I guess I am being quite 'attentive' to little issue), can those of you in the know let me know what you recon about these being sorted under warranty. 1. Drivers seat trim coming away from the hard plastic base - by my shoulders. Looks like the cloth was cut slightly short, so with it stretching it has come away from the glue. This will only get worse IMO. 2. Windscreen trim/'a' pillar interior plastic lining bubbling where the fromt roof clips are - from water ingress I'd assume. 3. Rippling alacantara behind the binnacle on the dash I know …

I had arranged to go out in a new Exige when my local dealer (kind of) got theirs in. Its been a couple of weeks since I originally enquired and they said they'd be in touch when they got it delivered (which was imminent apparently). Just had a call today from the sales guy I was dealing with who told me that Lotus were having a 'problem' with the new Exiges so weren't releasing any just yet. ETA was next week sometime, but seems unlikely with Easter coming up. Anyone heard anything about any potential problems? Anyone had an Exige delivered yet? I wonder what the 'problem' is?? Edited - to remove the dealers name - not sure about the etiquette of po…

I'm looking for a vinyl company who could print me up a Burberry 'check' sheet I could apply to the hardtop and front access panels on the elise. Anyone got any suggestions?

Anyone buy anything exciting at Donnington? I didn't take too much cash to be on the safe side and only bought a hand held fire extinguisher, some aluminium valve caps and an ally tat tax disk holder. A little bit GJOB but would have been so much worse if I'd had more money on me...would have bought an aluminium gear gate, some braided hoses, probably some new indicator stalks and various other bits of ally tat. Did see an esprit with neons... Kristian

I'm off bright (or not so bright) and early in the morning for my 1st Lotus day at North Weald. Can't wait! Seen the hour-by-hour forecast and it says "Showers" and 40% probability of rain, all day long. In the opinion of those who've been before, is the experience likely to be enhanced or diminished by a damp surface? Graeme

Renewal time again, there I was looking forward to the usual c.£700 renewal hit to my credit card and came in at £878 (arghh!) , had a good look round got it down to £713 with elephant.co.uk, then gave Tesco a shot, didn't expect much different as have tried direct line and a few others with the same underwriters and they came in about £750. Tesco then came in at £444.15!!!!! I can only assume they must be v competitive with the Elise atm, I'm sure I tried the same quote there a couple of months ago with the normal £700ish. So here's a little sage like advice, as they save the quote and it's valid for 3 months, if its not renewal time for you, get the quote any…

With my first Track Day booked I am investigating insurance, not only for my peace of mind, but in case a loony hits me. (I am hoping I will not be doing any 'offtrack' excursions myself) Anyhow, to insure me for 1 day, car value £14,000 is £172 Crikey, this is more than the Track day and certainly puts the 'day out' cost up considerably, not to mention tyre wear, petrol, helmet hire etc.... I have heard rumours of track day insurance for £75, does anyone on here have experience or can recommend any insurers please? I have tried Trackdays.co.uk and am waiting to hear and also Competition Car Insurance (the £175) Thx guys James
