I realise there are a lot of IT specialists here and was hoping for some help ... My g/f just moved in, and has brought her mac with her. I'm fairly PC compentent but nothing seems to work the proper way on this machine!! I've managed to get it hooked up to the internet through my router, but would like to be able to use shared folders and printers - FTP works sometimes but is very temperamental. Any help would be much appreciated

So i've been living at this new place for a few weeks now, I drove out my road today to find the house at the end of the road is hiding an '98 Elise in green in its garage - was very suprised considering there's an MGF on the drive (!) My question is thus...is there any MLOC calling cards I can use to give to him as I pop over tomorrow in mine to wax lyrical about the pleasures of this great forum?

Brakes Seizing 1 2

Hello all. 2,500 miles in two months. What a fab car! Haven't bent it for the last 6 weeks either, so I'm improving! Have booked on 1stLotus day for Feb 19th Anyway... is it normal for the brakes to seize on after being stood overnight in the garage after a wet run home? It seems to do it almost every time. Today it was so bad that the engine stalled trying to unbind them... I stopped putting the handbrake on thinking that may help, but no. It sounds like it's both fronts. When I look at the front disks I can see a rusty outline of where the pads were touching. They don't seem to bind once they have been freed, I can push the car with two fingers. …

Lo again. Just wondering who you lot use for insurance? And also are there any other "young 'uns" out there? Im 22 which could well pose a problem. Im looking at getting a car in the summer which would make me 23 by then with 2 years no claims, but i can still imagine some people not liking me much. Cheers

On my new car (new to me) the accelerator pedal is stiff for the first inch or so of travel, then it frees up, but it is only stiff when the engine is running. Is this the same on all Elises or should i start investigating under the bonnet? Ian

I've just been taking a look at the Lotus website, and found they've announced a new Exige. Apparently it's going to be powered by a 190 bhp Toyota VVT engine with a six-speed gearbox, and will be unveiled at next years Geneva Motor show. Better start saving now then! http://www.lotuscars.co.uk/template.cfm?na...roup%20Homepage

Not sure exactly why the website was offline for part of today, I logged an emergency request with their support desk and it came back up eventually. I'm awaiting the response for the reason why.

Hey hows it going. Bit of a newbie when it comes to Lotus' (or is that Loti? haha), anyways, im on the lookout for what *i think* is a 111s, S/T reg, purply blue - seen several different examples but with slightly different names, is it azure blue or ...? Anyways, if anyone has got a similar car to the above, would you mind giving me a link to ur garage pics or something so i could take a look?

Refitted the clam, looks great It even gave me a chance to fit my clear indicators, Osram bulbs and of course, my MLOC number plates...hurrah. Shame the weather threw everything at us while we were working - rain, snow, sleet, hail - then sunshine - followed by more bad weather. The feeling is just starting to come back to my hands. 3 Hours to refit, including bulb swaps etc. Off to Halfords/B&Q to find some velcro to stick my new Mini-front-Plate now... Oh, and most suprisingly of all - 2.5weeks after not moving (albeit being started last sunday, briefly), it started first time. Gotta be a first for a 160...

Is that spelt right? Anyway, another win!, at least Button was in the points. Hopefully he's going to start as he means to go on! So is Schmacher going to walk over everyone again, or is Montoya going to give him some bother! or will Ferrari let Barrichello win some

Can anyone recommend a good garage in the Rugby / Warwick area? Need the CAT swapping in/out (or not!) and don't want to have to pay £65 for the privilege! Thanks Crash P.S. Spotted a Yellow S1 at the Kipling roundabout in Rugby today - I was in the Red mini (union jack roof) almost loosing it to the understeer! Hello!
