Well..after my unfortunate 'incident' a month or so ago, the car is back and geo'd from Sinclaires with a new front clam. Thought Id say thanks for the recommendation to go there- they did do a fantastic job and the car feels like new. Dont know whether it is a placebo, but the ride feels better... Just before the incident, I had ummed and ahhed about which showercape to get and stumped for the motobuild which seems to be second choice to the elemental. There was a previous thread here so I wont repeat myself.. The last 2 days I drove in topless and left the car with the cape on all day even though the weather has been unbelievably schizo(sun one minute, then heav…

Guys for info from Seloc :- Event Update: 20 June 2004 - Cornwall Lifeboat Charity Run Message: The National Trust has now given permission for us to start the run at Lanhydrock House near Bodmin, those of you that did the Frite d'Or run will remember that we were allowed to park on the grass in front of the house. This starting point is far more convenient for those staying in the mid Cornwall area and very picturesque. Can you try and encourage as many others to register as possible, if we don't get enough Lotus owners registering we will have to open the run to other sportscar clubs! The prize for the car raising the most sponsorship will be a week…

Retrimming

Thinking about getting some of my interior retrimmed. After some opinions how it would look/whether it would look like a 70's porno cadillac (sp?) etc. Thinking of getting the binnacle/column cowls done in black alacantara. The steering wheel rim done in black alacantara Possibly thinking about getting the centre console done in.. yep... guessed it - black alacantara as well. The car is Gunmetal, with black leather and dark grey alacantara dash/steering wheel centre. Any thoughts?

I see quite a few Elises around these days but precious few have MLOC stickers! Which MLOC members don't display the sticker on their cars? And why not??? It looks pretty cool in the rear window behind the drivers seat. So come on no excuses! Dave

'On April 5, 1994 -- give or take 24 hours -- Cobain wrote a suicide note in which he said he couldn't stand to think of his daughter becoming "the miserable self-destructive, death rocker that I've become." He went into the greenhouse of his Seattle mansion, injected himself with a massive dose of heroin, put a 20-gauge shotgun in his mouth and fired. An electrician found his body on April 8. ' Bummer..

There are a couple of things niggling me about my car (not really, but the warranty is up after the summer so I guess I am being quite 'attentive' to little issue), can those of you in the know let me know what you recon about these being sorted under warranty. 1. Drivers seat trim coming away from the hard plastic base - by my shoulders. Looks like the cloth was cut slightly short, so with it stretching it has come away from the glue. This will only get worse IMO. 2. Windscreen trim/'a' pillar interior plastic lining bubbling where the fromt roof clips are - from water ingress I'd assume. 3. Rippling alacantara behind the binnacle on the dash I know …
