Origonally booked 2 flights to barcelona last year for about 40 quid each for me and the missus (now ex!) Went to change the name on my ex's ticket so my mate can go instead. Just found out that instead of just changing the name on the ticket they cancel the old ticket and re-book for the new passenger charging you a transfer fee and booking the new ticket at a higher cost;- Flight Cost 97.98 GBP Taxes, Fees And Charges 15.90 GBP Name Change Fee 30.00 GBP Total Cost 143.88 GBP What a con! Oh here's the small print! 5. No refunds are permitted. Changes are permitted subject to an administration fee of 15.00 GBP (24.00 EUR) per passenger …

So it's about that time of the year again when all the companies I phone either won't quote or try to charge over £1000. Tesco can't be persuaded that I don't need a tracker (they say the underwriter wants one). Direct Line also want a tracker Liverpool Victoria won't insure Fiona Norwich Union "Quote me fcuking happy" won't insure Everyone else I've tried quoted over £1,200 Just about to try Adrian Flux and Elephant Any other suggestions?

Have bought my helmet for my Snetterton Day, Blue to match my car! Have been getting paranoid, having seen those foamy toilet seat neck braces in the shop, I am sure I haven't seen anyone using one, but they seem a good idea. Obviously best not to have to even use the helmet, anyone else have one or will I look a twonk? Obviously I imagine they woul dmake a huge different in any whiplash incident?? I realise I am not Schummacher, but I suppose this actually increases my danger, rather than lessens.... Although I plan to be very careful out there.... If this continues by the time July comes I will be dressed as the michelin man and not be able to …

If someone can measure the width about 15cm from the top of the screen for me please! Either that or I'll wait till sunday and measure one before the run!

Back from a weeks holiday camping in the Lake District. I think we need to arrange a MLOC meet up there as the roads are stunning, i had some great fun, just a shame that SWMBO wasn't so keen on high speed cornering... so when my nice Corbeau seats arrive, i may look at some harnesses so she moves round less and complains less I shall post some pics up ASAP (on her camera)..... definite highlight was the guy in the Caterham who sat around while i finished my lunch (i could see the car) and then chatted to me about it... saying he wanted the original and best S1 to UPGRADE from Rest assured normal posting will commence as soon as i have caught up at work

Spoke to Lou this morning. He's not going to be doing any more Elises for a while. Those that have been will know that it's cat-swingingly small in there and with all the other business he's doing, can't commit the ramp time to Elises as much as he'd like. More prosaic stuff can get parts deliveries within 1-2 hours, whereas with Elises sometimes we're dependent on mail order! Not the end of the story though: Lou's dead keen to build up an East Midlands niche - there's nowhere between Kelvedon in Spalding and Nick Whale & Horizon in W Mids, so he could corner the specialist market for Leics, Cov, Nottingham, Derby & Northampton. Only pulling out now …

Would anyone be remotely interested if I organised an MLOC fantasy football league for next year? In a bit of a joyous football related mood at the mo since the mighty Pilgrims have won their league without Mr Sturrock (although he did do well by us). Can organise a BBC one which is free with loads of transfers etc, and very easy to do on line. Kristian
