Having had an Elemental one for 4 1/2 years, we now need a second. I like the ease of fitting, but hate the fact that it shrinks in the heat. Options - Elemental / Eliseparts / Lotus / others ? What the general concensus ?

As most of you probably know I am a Director on SELOC, we are appearing at this years show (so do wander over and say hi ), we could do with a touch of assistance regarding cars. This years theme is the 10th Anniversary of the Lotus Elise. At present we need: Lotus 7 (or caterham if no Lotus7) Very standard Early S1 Elise (MMC's, alli boot etc) S1 Exige 340R 111R The question has been posted on SELOC also, but seen as we are more locally based to the show it might be easier. The cars will be required to be on site at 8pm on friday evening and until 5pm on the Sunday. They will be kept secure overnight. Obviously we will be most grateful for any…

I don't know if anyone else has heard this, but I've just been chatting with a guy who works with Lotus, rating their cars for insurance purposes. He spends a lot of time down in Hethel and gets to see and hear a lot. Basically, he mentioned that Lotus have been talking to BMW a lot lately, then he clammed up and said he shouldn't really have mentioned that. Anyhow the impression I got is that the next new lotus may well have a BMW engine in it. So, is this just a silly story, or has anyone else heard of a BMW link? Rob

Some interesting going on's in the Ozzy Grand Prix! Schumacher qualifying no-where Schumacher making a mistake in the race! Coultard back up there! And a totally open race at the beginning! Could F1 be getting exciting again? Bit unsure of the new regs though!, is it just the one set of tyres for the weekend rule thats changed for 05?

Hi Guys, I know it's a long shot, but are any Leicester owners heading to Horizon M Sport next weekend (12th March)? Dropped my motor off for C this week and need to pick her up. If anyone is heading that way to drop a car of next weekend I could give you a ride back? Otherwise my long suffering wifey will be making the trip again. Duncs

Managed to lose the rear diffuser edging strip on the run last WE. Just off to see if I can find it, shame it looks bright and sunny out there at the moment Did anyone happen to see it come off? If I can't find it, then what's the best alternative? I have seen some rubberised automotive edging strip on the net which may be a better/cheaper alternative to getting the propper stuff from Lotus. Just checked the price with Nick Whale and must have found the cheapest Lotus part ever. £2.35 +vat Still may go for a drive though
