I need new disks all round asap, plus a service within the next month and cambelt change (S1 by the way). Can anyone recommend a good specialist in the Midlands? I have been using Sinclaires dahn Sarf, but need somewhere a bit closer to where I am working most of the time (Halesowen). Thanks in advance Andy

Hi all, My first post on here. I usually kick around SELOC as I now live darn souf but I'm originally from Wolves and come back a fair bit to visit the folks so I thought I'd see if my follow midlanders could help.... I've got an S2 111S (S1 owners insert poof joke here). I'm after a sports exhaust but not one that will make my ears bleed I have got it down to a short list of: - Bell & Colville - Larini - Janspeed You've got some good exhaust info on here but I couldn't find much on the B&C. Anyone got one? Or sound clips? Also, I spoke to Paul Matty's today and they said they have one made. Anyone got any experience of this exhaus…

Driving home from work tonight in the Exige, trundling along the M45 at +50mph towards Coventry and in the distance (approx 1mile) see what I think is a huge plume of spray from a car going through one of the few damp patches around. This, for people who know the M45 was on the RH bend at the bottom of the hill just before the on-ramp from the A45. Anyhow continue on my way and when I get there it wasn't too bad. Continue at the same speed and get to the M45-A45 roundabout which is a 2.5 miles later. Onto the A45 and when I pass the golf cub I can smell what I originally think is just burning, then realise it's burning rubber. I can see some smoke ahead and think it…

Thinking of booking up my second track day, about 1 a year is all I can afford with insurance. Went with Seloc to Snetterton before, think they were using Bookatrack, had a quick search on the web and there are loads of different trackday companies offering Snetterton, all at vastly differing prices. Veyr friendly and looked after a track newbie well, Also all bar one person were sensible out there, and I didn't feel in danger. Does anyone know if any of these compaines should be avoided? Was happy with Seloc, but don't think they are offering it anymore, presume Lotus On track took over? I presume if there are Evo's and radicals on the same day, these will me…

Can it be done? Help and advice please..... I have and S2 Exige with a Touring Pack that has the DAB Radio CD and was wondering of I could play an Ipod through the stereo system? If so what would I need to do to get it to work? Do you leave the Ipod loose on the shelf or is there a mount to secure it? If anyone has done this can you post some pictures and info please? Cheers Jamie

Hiya all, just thought I'd give a quick hello. I've been haunting the SELOC boards for a while now, but being as I quite often am in the area thought I'd see what you guys are upto these days. Zephod

The lovely Liz bought me a Eliseparts quickshifter for my soon to be birthday. I fitted it yesterday. They really are the mutts nuts. It said on the advert this is how they should have been made. I agree 100 per cent. If you dont have one give it some serious thought. It just so happens i have a few sets of gear change cable end Nylatron bushes left, gathering dust. These really complete the job. All for the price of £6 + £1 p and p. This includes a £4 donation to MLOC. Go on you know it makes sense. Im sure the people who have them already will tell you the difference they make. PM me if interested along with your address. I will then pop them in the post with details…

The 60th Anniversary of V.E Day, so make sure you spare a thought. As a little way of saying Thanks, to the brave men and women, you could go to a participating pub or get the Bunting and flags up, & hold a party (or come to ours.) But whatever you do, make sure you have a good time. 6 years of sacrifice, for 60 years of freedom. Elaine&Reg. Piccy of bungalow

Don't get pi$$ed and forget to at least put a rain cape on the car overnight. Especially if it's going to rain. Oh well. seat out to get carpets out to dry things. Hopefully it wasn't driving rain that might have got into the electrics... EDIT Bonus - found £1.50 under the carpets.

Was at elvington on Saturday with Bookatrack - great circuit for beginners - hard on tyres but not as bad as everyone makes out. The car performed really well - I have no understeer really and huge grip. Had some great sideways moments and just one major spin. I was in the beginner (numpty) group but there was a huge range of cars about. My car was pretty quick - had some trouble with a honda crx that I really struggled to lose - the driver insisted it was standard.....until later in the day when he showed me the NOS bottle in the boot. I thought (was hoping) that his car was modded as you feel a bit frustrated having a crx shed stuck to your arse and actually cat…
