Right guys, for all of us living around Shropshire the challenge has been laid down to come up with a suitable run around this fabulous county. I'm sure there are enough of us with experiance of the local roads to come up with something suitably fun and challenging. I've only been living round here for a few months but will be trying to get out and about to establish a route. All those others out there with greater knowledge of the local area please help. If not lets get out there and start researching Thanks in advance. Keith.

Hi- As per the thread I started the other day I have had my Elise go through a used car check before signing on the dotted. Nick Whales found the following, nothing major - would appreciate any comments: -Slight rust inside front headlights (presume there is a metal ring around light?) -Rear bump-stops splitting (how easy is this for me to replace myself?) -Exhaust Flexi pipe webbing broken (as above..) -Slight play in steering rack (rack replaced by Horizon a couple of months ago so will take it back under warranty to be sorted) -Oil leak - probably from rocker cover gasket (I am told by a mate this is not under pressure so won't bother…

mentioned these to Graeme on Sunday... My mate has a couple in his Caterham, and they work really well. Quite pricey, but if you drive around with the roof off when its cold, prob worth their weight in gold http://www.heated-motorcycle-clothing.co.uk/waistcoat.html I think he got his from demon tweeks 3 or 4 years ago, and they came with a super 7 badge stitched on the front; not sure if they still do them anymore Might be of interest to someone? b

I'm looking to do a few trackdays this year and I'd like to mount a camera in the car so I can see how crap I am... Where can you get a decent camera mounting from? I can probably source the camera itself from friends/family.

Got home from work and what an opportunity to go for a drive, removed the roof of the exige S2 which was really easy and hit the road it felt graet and was still pretty ridged, has anybody else removed theres yet. Can you get a soft top that will fit into the space as it looks similar to the elise with all the points to connect a roof.

Hi There, My S1 came with a removable Momo steering wheel, not the original Lotus one. It's quite handy ( easier to get in and out of ) - and added security I suppose - But . . I read that you can replace the "momo" bit in the middle where the horn is.. Deamon Tweeks apparently, but i can't find a thing on there . . Call me sad, but I want it to say "Lotus" in the middle, not Momo ! Thanks as usual . . P.S. . . I'm not even from the Midlands, but this site is quality . .

Hello everyone, Have been having a look around the site and getting some useful stuff - u seem to know what you are talking about. I am new to Lotus - I actually don't even have one yet! I put a deposit on a standard S1 last weekend and am now getting v exceited (unfortunately won't get it for a couple of weeks as this weekend it is going in to Nick Whale for a check over and weekend after I am on a stag weekend so roll on Bank Hol Tuesday!). The Elise is a 99T Titanium (pictures will appear no doubt!) and absolutely standard except for a different factory fitted exhaust (to give a bit more growl) Sorry, don't know name or specs - need to learn this stuff. …

If anyone wants to buy a V Thanks badge, but is having trouble getting hold of one, I am selling them on behalf of the Royal British Legion. The suggested donation is £2. See here for more info. E.
