It would appear after a bit of trial and error the only parts that make much difference on the gear linkage are the bushes on the cable ends. The rubber ones are not all that good. The change is improved IMO by replacment with Nylatron bushes. It becomes more notchy and positive. I can now supply a pair of bushes and the washers and R clips to suit. They will cost £6 per pair, this includes a donation to MLOC finances ( much needed it would appear ) £7 if i have to post them ( padded envelope and 2 first class stamps ) Could anyone interested please PM me with there details. I will post them on a first come first served basis. If there is a rush you will have to wait a b…

So, I get my decat pipe fitted, and in preparation for a Donington track day, get the thing noise tested. Its 98db (borderline 99). Now the limit at Donington is 98... do I risk it or not?

The previous thrad of this title received a such a good response I thought I'd beg some help... Has anybody got some 3D modles of cars & lorries for insertion into .dwg drawing. National Car Rental questioned its 145 branches and compiled a list detailing the colourful life of its customers and cars: STRANGEST REASONS FOR DAMAGE: “I wasn’t used to wearing high heels” was the reason provided by a man dressed as a woman who returned a damaged 4x4 he had rented. “We were attacked by monkeys” claimed a customer who had driven through Longleat animal enclosure. “A stag jumped over the wall” was the reason given by a customer in Glasgow. “I hit a square roundabout” was the cause for damage to a vehicle in Edinburgh. “I thought I could damage the car as I had paid £500 deposit.” (The deposit is refunded if no damage has been…

Just drove the new car in anger for the first time for any decent distance. A road off the A6 from Duffield to Wirksworth that I know well Iin the old Elise). Played with an S2 Exige along there all the way, then went on to do Cat and Fiddle later. Virtually no traffic, so all the way. The car is soooo well set up with unbelievable grip and felt rock steady all the way. A combination of the A038s, Nitrons, 3x stiffer ARB, nylatron bushes, etc. Going home via Snake Pass tomorrow..... Can't wait. Hope you're all enjoying Wales, hope the cat gets better soon Steve and Fiona. Dobbo and Sonya (Grinning)

On my usually uneventful drive home i managed to completely spin my S1 Elise, i think a combination of a RWD newbie and a wet / dieselly roundabout (its an industrial estate) were to blame but I think its about time I got on one of those Driver Training courses so I dont ever have to exit a roundabout backwards again, luckily the road was clear and the Elise is still in one piece. If any of you guys have any recommendations or experiences you can share with me so i can find the right course or courses I would be mega grateful. Now if you'll excuse me I need to change my undies and have a lie down!!! Thanks Guy

Ordered before Xmas and finally got here... look rather good too, have that "i'm sat a bit high" feeling again, but that usually goes quite quick. These ones have an extra bit in the "bum" part over the std red ones in my car... but i believe Corbeau changed the design anyway... seem to fit ok :up Harnesses go in next week - blue naturally

Hi I’ve had the car for two months now and before I start adding the typical extras I think a proper driving/racing training day is needed... I see loads of you have recommended 1st lotus.. I’ve never done any track days although probably will do and have never done any advanced driver training.. I’ve seen its best if you get four people together so is there anyone else wanting to go on a training day? would be good to get to know some other mloc members.. plus i could do with some new back tyres so a good chance to get the last bit of life out of them!
