jonnyfox
Cheers Colin. Looking forward to a catch up soon Today was the first time I've fitted an S1 Exige rear clam. What a giant ball ache! I did have two great very excellent spannerers help me out though. Massive thanks to Gaz and Jane. Gave the clam a long dose of sunshine before stretching over the sill. Once on the biggest issue was the fuel filler which needed repositioning with the wheel arches coming a close second but everything else was straight forward. That said it wasn't all plane sailing, when it came to the last two jobs diffuser and engine lid neither fitted properly. Diffuser is a little too wide so I'll need to draw/make a new one and the roof hinge may need adjusting. With only two of us left after a long day well into the evening more hands were preferable. So as I left it's very almost there.

Martin R
Jon, looks good. I would be siphoning some fluid out the coolant bottle down to the rim. The excess might blow out the coolant cap and all over the place otherwise.
jonnyfox
Will do Martin. I will have to drive on Sunday as I no longer own a trailer or a car with a tow bar. So today I popped the lenses around the headlights and put the engine lid on before packing it off to have paint protection and the decals professionally fitted. It's booked in for MOT Thursday, tax and detailing Friday. Saturday I've a few little things to do and Sunday is run in day, all the way Rowsley Station.
