russelld
Well done Jonny Bloody amazing what you have achieved with that old shed ( soz Mark ) Can I suggest you hold an open day where you provide coffee and bacon cobs so we can all come and have a nosey, in return we'll all dribble on your garage floor
jonnyfox
Ha ha Russ, you'll have to come to me as Leigh says. No but hopefully in July at LiTP, I'd love to show everyone Check this lot out, Lol and that's not all of it I've kept all the original parts I'd need to put the car back to completely stock, which it's not far off to be honest. Well all but the AC, that was beyond saving.
Steve J
Fabulous work there Jonny. You certainly deserve it given the work and attention to detail you've put in.

jonnyfox
Thank you fella's. Even in this state I write a long list, crack on get the jobs done then end up with another long list. I'm not sure how I've ended up with a non standard horn push when I took off a standard horn push so I have one of those on the way, crazy! The main beam flash is a little temperamental so a new stalk is on the way too. Keith gave a me radio blank and I'm having some blanks made for the speakers so no radio and I'm waiting to get an OE handbrake grip from being milled back as I want to see what it looks like on. Lol there's always something in the search for perfection, don't even get me started on the harnesses

It will ruin it You can put it on display in my conservatory if you like John - I'll look after it for you.

jonnyfox
As it stands I need to find an electrical gremlin but I've got a few little (some really quite tiny) things done.... Not shiny Shiny These had escaped my attention. No longer! Previous images shows the horn push as an outty, as it should be now an inny! Newly Allon White trimmed wheel is beautiful btw Main beam flash required a big old tug so that got replaced for a new one. Radio blank in (Thank you Keith ) so dash finished. Brand new oil cooler with XRP hose supplied by HPE and fittings replacing the second hand cooler with the blue hoses I'd previously fitted. Very handy cut away I had done prior to paint with a neatly cut piece of plastic velcro'd over it. I even kept the off cut in case someone, not me wants it back in All done and both wheel arch liners now fitted.

Steve J
Where did you get the wheel arch liners from? Original or copies?
jonnyfox
Well I'm not 100% sure although they had what I believe was a Lotus stock sicker with part number stuck on them. Either way so far so good, they look exactly the same as what came off Steve. https://www.sjsportscars.com/home.htm
jonnyfox
Little up date on the slow progress. Apart from being too bloody cold I had a dead short which played havoc with the immobiliser wiring. My bag John (JSR) massive thanks for finding the fault and working to fix it. Needless to say I have fitted a like for like replaceemt and alarm.
