Where can I get a check done on the power/torque out put of the car? I would like printouts to keep so I have a base for any subsequent modification, and I'm also just interested in finding out what it's got. Any ideas on cost? Cheers

Right, it's time to take the plunge. Rear tyres need killing off before we get a set of Toyos T-R? Can't seem to get access to the calendar on the website, so can someone post up the next available dates? Anyone else looking to do one soon? Cheers

Two young cats to a good home ............ The car, the bike, the telly etc are fine, but the hardest part of going travelling for Debbie and I is giving up our cats They need to go to a very good home, they are very loving cats, playful and house trained. They get on very well with each other as you can see from the photos. The black/chocolate brown one is called Murphy, he's 4 years old and has a great personality, the gray and white one is Smokey, she's about 3 years old and really is a bonny cat (secretly my favourite) Both cats have been neutered and micro chipped. They have annual injections and a check up. This will be a very hard thing for both of …

Its very quiet here at the moment, so I thought I'd ask you lot about this...its something I've discussed on another board before... Does it bother you having a passenger for meets, or taking people out in your car when your pushing on? I've taken planty of people out in the Elise, I did so on the last non-Midlands meet I went on - and obviously people want you to drive quick to show the capabilities of the car. However I have to say I'm not entirely comfortable with it. When driving fast on roads, your taking risks...we do everything we can to minimise this by driving well within our and the cars limits, driving sensibly taking into account the conditions and lea…

It looks good, but its not good. Because what happens is, you inadvertantly get some on the outer edge of your tyre. And if you haven't checked your pressures in a while, you tend to find you get a decent amount of flex. Then should you go round a bend a bit quick, you suddenly realise you've got no grip when you've got a slop of blackener between your rear tyre and the road I think I impressed the modified Saxo waiting to go straight on tho as I went seemingly expertly sideways - although I feel this sumed up my facial expression best With the emphasis on the "arrgh!" and wild opposite lock....No harm done...and no, it wasn't me who put it on. Needless to…

Ello, I'm getting my car serviced at N.W and am wondering how easy it is to find? I've got to be there at 08:30 on a weekday and i'm travelling up from Cheltenham, I've looked at the map and i reckon it's M5....M42.J5...A41 on the left somewhere. So, what's the traffic like at that time and is the Bullring within walking distance of N.W? Lots of questions, mmm perhaps we should have a local talk forum Hope everyone is keeping well. Cheers Jez

Well, its almost MOT time and the P-Zeros have seen better days. I fear they are probably illegally worn(or close). Time for some T1-Rs methinks. Also, its time to get it serviced (A + C-cambelt). Anyhows, I figured that if I have to get new boots, Im going to (ab)use the ones on there to get the most out of them. So, my first question is, what is the cheapest/most enjoyable way to do this? I had to pull out of the recent Bedford trackday because of the looming car costs(incl going on holiday + insurance renewal soon). Have thought of 1st Lotus day, which always does the trick, and is constructive.(~£150). Any more thoughts? Also, when I spoke with Wendy from a p…

Its scary stuff.... just from fitting the manifold i now have a rather scary amount of torque, the car pulls really well from 2k to about 6k... it now feels weedy from 6k whereas before it felt very strong, so i'm not sure if i've lost some top end, or if i just miss the torque surge. Its also noisier, but not screaming noisy, just very bassy.... sounds great Top notch upgrade... just don't ask Mike to fit another one Cheers to them (Horizon in case you had to ask) once more, cracking service and even opening up yesterday on their day off so i could leave my car - thanks once more guys!

As one can see from the pic below, it didn't fit! Heading home at 10.00 ish last night and comming up to a small village, car with full beam on and hazards.... slowed to 30 and crawled through the village wary... Saw man in front of his car at side of the road with torch inspecting. Figured maybe his lights were jammed on or something.... Leave village carefully, enter open straight road, acellerate! WOO HOO! See large sack of potatoes in middle of road! BIG DEER! Not quite Reindeer or Moose, but larger size of British Fauna... (its already dead by the way, killed by the Merc inspecting his front.... ) Straddle the beast between the wheels …

Just wondering who's planning on going to Le Mans next year. Should be a big Lotus celebration and having had a great time this year, think I'll be going next year as well. Anyone else? Ladders? Would be good to get a decent MLOC contingent. Kristian (edited to say: by the way, it's 11th-12th June)
