Purchased a new car for Linda and after a week of ownership have to say what a fantastic little car. Abarth 595 Competizione. The sound it from the Monza exhaust is truly amazing for a 4 pot. She is not happy about me nipping out in it more than her.

Excellent article by John Barker in this month's evo magazine (actually the October edition - 302). It's one of the magazine's "Icon" series, and this one features a 2014 Evora SR (yes, the sweet N/A version like mine). In the article, John rediscovers why the Evora won eCoty (evo car of the year) soon after launch. Needless to say, he gives the car evo's highest "five star" rating and, after briefly mentioning the Emira and some commonality with the VVA chassis architecture, adds these closing sentences ... "However, for clarity of steering, suppleness of ride and dynamic ability and precision, this 2014 Evora beats it. I didn't expect that."

Hi All, Just thought I’d drop this link to a video that Lotus commissioned and just finally released to celebrate 25 years of the Elise. It’s only a short vid from an owners perspective and the journey into Lotus ownership. All credits go to Wild Rice Films and Seadog Productions. *Filmed during Covid in 2020, hence it’s my previous car!

Hi folks A friend and long-time LitP fan has asked if I can find him some nice photos from this year's event that he can include in an article he's writing for the Lotus Drivers Club magazine. If you have some that you would be happy for him to use could you email them to me please at [email protected]. Ideally we would like some from the entire weekend including bbq, pootle, morning starts and runs, the madness that was Hassop Station (!) as well as Chatsworth of course. Please don't post them on here as it would spoil the surprise for all the MLOC members that are also LDC members (like me!). Thank you 🙂 Dean

Hi, I attended one of Footman James car shows at Impney Estate earlier this year, and then became a member of their facebook group. I posted on their FB page about my T49 being the 1st produced, not thinking much more about it, but then they contacted me as they wanted to do an article on it. Link to the article on their website is here, nice little article I think https://www.footmanjames.co.uk/blog/living-with-a-lotus-jason-dixon-s-elise-type-49

So Yesterday I finally got to drive the Emira on Track at Hethel Here are my thoughts, let's get my not so great bits out the way first I went, out in two cars and I would have to say the interiors are a little underealming but not a deal breaker I managed to send both cars into Limp mode so a slight concern on reliability although both cars were pre production units, the looks of the car have been a little over egged and from some angles looked like the bonnet has had a front end crash and crumpled the bonnet but overall a stunning car, we did the factory visit and I saw an all Hethel yellow model with black wheels and immediately fell in love with it no black roo…
