Been on the hunt for a a bit for a new toy. Needed something with a bit more room to accommodate the family dog (yes it would've been easier to get shut of the dog 🤦♂️) and something that would allow us to pack a few more things on those weekend trips. Considered a number of other brands but always came back to the lotus, especially after having such a positive experience with the exige. So yesterday we collected this little beauty. Super pleased and gives us everything we need for a weekend weapon. Oh and more importantly, at least we can still bring this to LITP. My other choices wouldn't have been as welcome 😁

Call me fussy but that new Lotus is one ugly mother ****er! I'd expected something super attractive and sophisticated, svelte even, with an emphasis on minimising visual mass. But, alas, it's obviously intended to compete in the high-end SUV ugly league - No. 1 position currently being occupied by none other than the Lamborghini Urus. But could the Eletre be well on the way to taking over that coveted top spot? Erm, well, what do you think?

Finally got time to fit a decent horn on my Cup. I remember sometime ago someone asking on here if it was possible to remove the front grill without removing the front clam. Well, with very careful snipping of the grill with some small cutters you can detach it from the rusty spire nuts Lotus use to attach it to the inside of the clam. Then you can ditch said rusty spire nuts, and use a tiny dab of black silicone to fix it back in place once you have replaced the horn/nosebadge. I used the PIAA dual slender sports horns which allows a straight swop using the existing wiring. Not only does my new horn sound far better than the bloody noddy horn fitted by Lotus, its ac…

I have a 2000 era S1, but many years ago I have a 1999 S1 from new. Recently I lost my spare keys, and weirdly found my dog chewing on them (where he found them I do not know...). Anyway, I tried to use them in the car, and they didn't work... Then I eventually found the real spare set that do work, and now I have 3 sets of keys... I've decided that somehow my dog has found a spare set from my original S1 (X358XCL)! I've checked and sadly it looks like this car has passed away, it's not been taxed or MOT'd since 2010. But on the off chance that someone turned it into a track car, I have your keys....

Apparently Lotus is going to make a 2 ton 4x4 SUV. They must think we are all idiots who'd believe anything. Come on Lotus, you'll have to get up earlier in the morning than that to catch us out!!

I'm taking the Stratos to Litchfield's (GL19 4BP) for final mapping (by Daniel of CP) on the 29th March. ITB linkages need swapping out before I go as the current ones aren't working quite right. So car won't be driveable as the calibration will be all to cock. So I need to transport it. My local place that I rented a small flatbed from has closed. Anyone local to me able to offer any help? More than happy to pay for the service. Need to be down at Litchfield for 9am and It's about 1 1/2 hours away. I'm near Ashby de la Zouch. Might need to trailering back too......depending on how the day goes! Cheers
