Code of Conduct for MLOC
1. Respect and Courtesy All members are expected to conduct themselves with the highest levels of respect and courtesy during any club-related activity, whether online or offline. This expectation extends to interactions with both fellow members and non-members. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all participants can enjoy their shared passion for cars without discrimination or discomfort.
2. Professional and Ethical Conduct Members must avoid any actions or behaviors that could potentially harm the reputation of the club or its operations. This includes, but is not limited to, refraining from illegal activities, upholding the club's integrity, and avoiding any engagements that might reflect negatively on the club or its community.
3. Anti-Discrimination and Harassment Policy We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful community. As such, discrimination, harassment, or any other behavior that undermines the dignity or self-esteem of an individual will not be tolerated. This applies to but is not limited to discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or any other legally protected characteristic.
4. Enforcement of Code of Conduct Violations of these guidelines may result in actions taken by the administration team, including but not limited to warnings, suspension of membership privileges, or expulsion from the club, depending on the severity of the misconduct.
5. Reporting and Grievance Procedures Members are encouraged to report any incidents where they feel these principles have been breached. Reports can be made confidentially to the designated officers, and every complaint will be investigated thoroughly and impartially. We are committed to ensuring fairness and respect for all parties involved.

Hi I am thinking about camping over somewhere near to Ashbourne on saturday eve, so wondering if anyone can suggest a campsite? I'm working until 5pm so won't be there until 7pm, so not looking for anything fancy as the tent will only be up for around 12hrs! Had a look at a few that seem to want about £35 which seems a bit steep for what I want! cheers Mark

***EDIT - shoot me now, just saw the sticker shows 2002-2012, not 2022! Still, no reason not to dig out ome old photos of the frolics of the early days!!!*** Looking forward to meeting some old (and new) friends this weekend at LiTP. Happened to check the Store to see if lunch tickets can still be purchased and noticed a sticker for sale with the title 'MLOC 10th Anniversary'. Now I don't know about anyone else, but I believe this year is MLOC's 20th anniversary and LiTP's 10th.....@Mark H, I'm sure you'll be able to confirm. Now I'm not suggesting we should get the stickers reprinted/reissued, but a little mentiony-mention that MLOC is 20, and some of us old cr…

Hi, I hope this finds you all well. I have set up a VIN decoder and was hoping you could share it in the forum, where better to test my accuracy than with the owners who know their cars best. It can be found at www.vdna.co.uk. Any feedback would be gladly accepted and sent to [email protected]. Kind regards, VDNA

To steal a punchline from the Fast Show, aren't Elise just brilliant. I decided to have a lie in this morning so didn't make the peaks run. Instead Badger my dog and I went to a classic car meet and a visit to the car crowd cafe in my 1999 S1 elise with standard 118 bhp engine. Top down of course, not the most interesting of roads in majority but a few twisty bits. I know i'm biased, and i've not driven many other sports cars, but what a car the elise is. It just feels so right. Point and squirt. Useful storage areas. Comfy enough. Cheapish to maintain. Not outrageously fast, but fast enough for me. Hundreds of columns have been written about…

Went up to the Motorist cafe on Sunday for one of the breakfast meets. Huge venue with plenty of parking and some very cool cars. Loads going on and a really good vibe about the place. They have regular themed meets and looks like they have stuff on every weekend. It was very well organised with marshals giving directions on parking and plenty to see. Appreciate it’s a bit far north for some of you guys but I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s like the northern version of caffeine and machine but cheaper.!! Managed to bump into the Nloc (think that’s the right) who have regular visits. If we ever have a northern run we’ll be sure to visit 👌

A new car cafe has opened in Edingley, near Southwell in Nottinghamshire. By pure good fortune it is less than a mile away from my house (😊) so I have nipped down for a brew in the Elise three times now. It's not a big venue but the cafe itself is like a cool man-cave with a massive picture of a Type 49 GP car on the wall, the coffee is good and all sorts of cars turn up. I like the place. I have no connection to it, I just thought I would put up a post in case anyone local fancied calling in. The cafe is an add-on to a classic car investment business, and some of their portfolio of cars are on display including a Renault 5 GT Turbo, Sierra Cosworth, Integra T…

Hi, A school near to me (Abbey Primary School in Forest Town)asked if any of us would be happy to display our cars at their school fayre on Sunday July 3rd. I think possibly they would like 3 or 4 cars for their students to look at/sit in. As well as the parents. The money they raise goes back into the school. I might even offer a 15 minute passenger ride in my car as a raffle prize to help raise more money. The timing is 11am to 3pm. At the moment I have informed the school that I will ask you wonderful people and then respond next week. If anyone is interested, let me know. Thanks, Luke
