DeanB Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 A new car cafe has opened in Edingley, near Southwell in Nottinghamshire. By pure good fortune it is less than a mile away from my house (😊) so I have nipped down for a brew in the Elise three times now. It's not a big venue but the cafe itself is like a cool man-cave with a massive picture of a Type 49 GP car on the wall, the coffee is good and all sorts of cars turn up. I like the place. I have no connection to it, I just thought I would put up a post in case anyone local fancied calling in. The cafe is an add-on to a classic car investment business, and some of their portfolio of cars are on display including a Renault 5 GT Turbo, Sierra Cosworth, Integra Type R, 205 Gti and so on. They also have a Lotus Omega that is having some paintwork done but should be on display in a copule of weeks. Dean
DeanB Posted May 2, 2022 Author Posted May 2, 2022 Some (rubbish taken on my phone) snapshots to give an idea:
martenr1975 Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 That looks well worth a visit, thanks for posting Dean 👍
lotus111 Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Will definitely have a run over when the sun is out again it looks great 👍
DeanB Posted May 3, 2022 Author Posted May 3, 2022 Saturday between 9 and 11 currently the busiest times, but I think he hopes to open in the evenings during summer.
lotus111 Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Love the 5GT Turbo in the photo had one from new way back in 1990 in Tungsten Grey. Fantastic car and still brings back great memories.

Elisemadray Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Yep mine rusted in front of my eyes AGHH but a brilliant car to drive
DeanB Posted May 3, 2022 Author Posted May 3, 2022 The Lancia in the pic is s Spider, and he has fitted a 2 litre volumex engine in it. It's remarkably rust-free
Elisemadray Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 would the cafe be suitable for a breakfast stop? for one of the Notts/Newark runs?

PJT Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 I was thinking this, but didn't want to step on Dean's toes.
