JonS Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Blimey! It would be interesting to know if anyone still old enough to be insured by CCI have had a hike in their premiums this year?

Wild Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Blimey! It would be interesting to know if anyone still old enough to be insured by CCI have had a hike in their premiums this year? Yes, mine went up by about £70 last October, however CCI were still cheaper than all the rest
stockhome Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 What special edition do you have? Mines a Club Racer. Is that not classed as a special edition? This is where it gets weird my car is an s2 135 sport which is a standard s2 with mildly ported head and ally plenum work to bring it up to 135bhp. oh yes and some stickers apart from that it is a standard s2 sports tourer I questioned it at the time and they checked and said it was fine.
Martin R Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Good news i have managed to get mine on a classic car policy with Manning. Unlimited trackday cover plus European cover. However the classic policy is limited to 5K a year. Liz being named as well may have helped. £375. I cant refuse at that price even if the mileage is slightly limiting. However as it has done zero miles in about 6 months it should be enough for this year.

I went for 7k miles in the end as I do commute in it occasionally. Thought the unlimited track days from Manning very good - and you don't even need to notify them.
Martin R Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Jon, it is an 03 plate. The car needs to be 10 years old to get it on a classic policy.
StokieAfro Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I'm with Adrian Flux, 38yrs old new policy with no NCB to carry over as it is tied up on another vehicle. £450.00.
Chris_edeson Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 Just got off the phone very happy to Adrian Flux!!! best quote so far £723, with limited 5k miles, no glass cover, no protected NCB Adrian Flux - £495 without NCB protection, 10k miles or £545 with protected NCB on 10k miles. so i have gone with this on the protected option!! only £45 more than last year and that with 7.5k miles more and with protected NC. happy chris :-)
fentuz Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Are you sure manning offer a unlimited trackday cover? I recall something on seloc saying unlimited providing it is organized by a member of the trackday organiser association which LOT is not member of.
chrislane Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I shall be giving adrian flux a call tomorrow as i have just had my letter through from cci confirming the suspected bad news.
