Chris_edeson Posted April 15, 2013 Author Posted April 15, 2013 Bloody Nora....:-( Just tried to get a quote on the LV site "Sorry, but on this occasion we cant provide cover for your vehicle"
Alex B Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 If I remember correctly LV/direct line, Churchill and one or two other main line insurers will not touch you until you're over 25. Well at least this was the case 6months ago. Not sure on your age Chris. Have you tried Adrian flux? They have 100s of different policies.

chorton_1 Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 I'm with A-Plan. 38, engine transplant, used for work - £580 with legal cover. Worth a try?
EvoraSg2adw Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 I'm 33 and I've just insured my 2013 evora S fully comp for 750 pounds and this is group 50 make no sense to me
Chris_edeson Posted April 16, 2013 Author Posted April 16, 2013 Just been quoted £795 with trackday cover by REISS
Meister Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Hi Chris If you do a few track days then given your age ( I think you said you were 29 ) I don't think that's too bad ( Mind you it's easy for me to say as I am only paying 70% of that but I am 44! ) if you consider track day insurance is about £60 -70 a pop. I have always had really good service from Mary at REISS as well.. Mark
Alex B Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Think ill be trying them when it's time to change, however some specialists won't touch my cause I'm not 25
scatty Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 try pace ward, aplan, keith michaels. only pw offer track cover though... mainly insurers of jap cars, but they tend to insure a younger client base as well....pace ward are very good. but again im an old duffer....

Best iv got is £729 with 4 trackdays with REIS. Not bad considering my age and car but pissy coz iv insured an elise for 3 years and never paid over £500!
scatty Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 I feel your pain mate. A £200 ncrease for no reason.fair enough if you'd had a claim, but you haven't... Try Pace Ward tomorrow. I probably wouldn't hold your breath but worth a call... Would Reiss lower the premium with zero Trackdays?? And then get separate cover? Fingers crossed anyway mate... Alex is doomed. At this rate he will have to be a named driver on russ's policy.... :-)
Chris_edeson Posted April 16, 2013 Author Posted April 16, 2013 I asked about track cover and he said itd put it up a further £53!! Wtf!!! Insurance companies are a law to them selves
