Alex B Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Insurance companies have us all by the danglies and they know it.
JonS Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 In all fairness, this issue is down to Aviva and not really CCI. I'm very disappointed to have to change company, but in the end, I'm going with ManningUK, turned out to be the cheapest for my quotes, and also includes unlimited track days and also mods up to 50% of the original bhp within reason so that should cover me for a bit! Still, and extra £160 over what I paid last year with CCI. Shows how much they were 'undercharging' compared to the other specialists.

JonS Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 It's all Unlimited track days is a bit of a bonus It's all a big ploy just to try and get me to part with my hard earned pennies! Not sure the wife will be happy about that!
benny1235 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Tesco just insured me and my mrs for 435 protected no claims on my evora, may be worth a look, I'm 34.

Stik Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I'm on £600 from Admiral, at 29. Funny how there's so much variation. Admiral seem fairly mod-tolerant as well, at least i had my VX with them as well, and that had plenty of engine mods.
Meister Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the insurance business!
benny1235 Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Mine was 800 with privledge insurance with 1300 excess, I used go compare and lots were cheaper. It's wierd though if you use 2 different comparison sites you get 2 different quotes even though the give you a summary if the same companies. My other advise is had a partner on policy, she doesn't have to drive it lol, but mine offered a lower price when I did with Sheila's wheels.
Chris_edeson Posted April 28, 2013 Author Posted April 28, 2013 My partner is 21 without any no claims... Will add another 2k on the price haha! My best at te momemt is REIS with £730 with 4 trackdays... Only 5k miles though. Will try admiral aswel. It seems the main stream insurers dont wana touch me

I'm on £250 i think I'm not sure if adding my girlfriend to mine would help much, i added her to my Celica's policy so that she could drive that and i think it added about £15 to the whole year I do think sometimes that behind the scenes on the insurer's websites they have an excel spreadsheet with a formula that looks like: "=RAND() * 3000"

They quoted me cheaper than REIS and also the policy seemed better value for cheaper premium.
