Its pretty easy yep, just need some 5V LED's and a soldering iron!

Ha well spotted...to be honest, yes - the needles are now near invisible at night....I think i'll spray them black and it'll be fine...

I think the main problem is the silver dials. They really reflect badly to light (be it sunshine or leds at night) which makes it difficult to read.

I'd much prefer plain white dials with whatever led colour takes your fancy.

I looked into this last year. If i remember correctly, their was damaging the glass and silver surround.

After doing it myself i'd say you'd need to be pretty clumsy to damage either to be honest, if you're careful the glass comes off very easily.
