I just discovered this thread and am impressed with what you have done. I am doing a very similar project to put a k20 into my 111S - target is at least 350 BHP as it is going to be my track day car so I am going for a rotrex

It shares a garage with a Ferrari 430, so 350 should make it a lot faster than the Ferrari !!!!!

One question is how did you connect your fuel pipes to the nylon outlet stubs on the top of the fuel pump holder ? It looks like you didn't use the standard lines. I want to use braided lines as I am using the in tank pump as a lifter pump into a fuel swirl pot as the supercharged engine will probably melt if I get any fuel starvation.

Thanks Simon

I'll be very very interested to hear how it compares to the 430. My Honda is running close to 380hp and weighs just over 800kg,

The fitting for the pump is something like this:

Not sure what size as this is available in 3/8 and 5/16 hard line.

Thanks for the ebay link. Sure this will help others who are uprating fuel lines .......... this is what forums like this are really good for.

As the s1 pump outlets are both the same size, which coincides perfectly with the bore size of my fuel hose, I simply pushed them on and used hose clamps on them.

Been tinkering with the part throttle mapping a bit and introduced a few pops and bangs just for laughs...

It was spitting massive flames the other day so I was hoping to catch those, hence the camera angle. The exhaust exits from the undertray.

I've been rather busy lately but didn't realise that I neglected to update my thread with my new engine biggrin.png

A while back I built another engine for the car, it's basically standard with the exception of some 87mm forged omega pistons.

I started out by prepping a block, I actually used a type S block for various reasons. To use a type s block though you need to drill and tap the oil squirter holes as they are not present.

Then I had a complete bottom end assembly balanced and assembled ready to go in.

Bottom end built.

As the bores are now 1mm bigger it was necessary to chamber the head to suit. This is done on a cnc machine and then finished by my own fair hands.

With the head assembled its time to prep the rest of there bits and turn it into an engine.

Big ends and mains plastiguaged and clearances set perfectly.

Where did you get the shiny gold stuff on the bulkhead from?

Has it done the job as expected? Any increase in noise or heat in the cabin?

I got it from ATL, it's almost unbelievably good at what it does, as it's heat reflective it doesn't even get hot on the engine bay side let alone the cabin.

There is no sound deadening in the car so it's extremely noisy.
