Any recommendations for speakers to replace the OEM ones in an S3 Elise? Currently have the in-dash fronts only but want to fit rear ones also. Got a new stereo (Power Acoustic CP-71W) ready to fit once I get the car back from the suspension investigation and wanting to do the speakers too, think adding the rears will improve the sound and what I can hear, esp when the roof is off. Have updated the stereo firmware already so it does Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay now Have also changed the boot-up screen, well had to be done didn't it

Hi Folks I am looking to have my wheels refurbed. They aren't kerbed or buckled but they are marked and I want to change the colour. Can anyone recommend someone to do them please? Preferably someone trade that doesn't want top dollar. Also, is there anything I need to know about different finishes, processes and so on? For example is powdercoating or painting better? All knowledge and experience gratefully received, thank you 😊 Dean

Morning all… For those of you in and around Notts / Leics - who do you use to replace tyres? Always conscious of jacking points and tyre places being sympathetic … cheers

Hi, my name is Marco and I'm from Liverpool, I'm new to this forum and new to Lotus. Towards the end of last year I started to get that itch of wanting a sporty fun car again (I had owned a couple of Mk4 Supras between 2000 & 2009) I was looking for a car that was not too big as it needed to fit into my narrow garage so I could hook it up to a trickle charger as it was not going to be a daily driver. I decided that an Elise would be perfect, after searching for months for the right car I finally found and bought my first Lotus Elise in December of last year and it was delivered to me in mid January of this year, I've had my Elise for just over 4 months…

My rubberised inner sill covers are quite scratched up and I’d like to try and do something with them. I fear I’m between a rock and a hard place with them! I’ve tried isopropyl alcohol but this just removes the rubber coating so that’s not ideal. Also I’ve tried using a hairdryer to heat up the rubber which seems to be a popular option but that hasn’t worked at all. I’d like to keep the rubberised finish and not go down the route of leather or carbon covered. Anybody been in the same situation and got a happy result?

Hello All. Hopefuley this all ends well with a bit more power in the back. I have a 04 plate Rover S2. it says 'S' on the V5 which should be Supercharged. But its very much not. Its claim to fame is being January 2026 in the MLOC calendar My plan. Find a 160 K Series and engin swap. What could posibly go wrong... I would like to blog this for 2 reason. 1. People may be interested in doing the same. 2. People may be able to support when I am being a bit silly (This will probably happen alot... Initialy, Let me know how interesting this is for people. How much detail do you want to go through.

Hi guys, I’d like to have all my black plastics sprayed and laquered matt black. I’m struggling to see how the upper engine bay grills are removed from the lid. It looks like they have been double side foam taped into place. Would this be correct? Also the small rear outer grills, how are they removed as I can’t see any screws or nuts from inside the boot compartment. Any info much appreciated 👍

Anyone know of (ideally used) a garage which does skimming - specifically oversized discs on Evora / Emira (Exige may work, smaller discs but still oversized)? Everyone I’ve called so far has stopped doing it or maxes out at 320mm discs. Thanks

Hi all, I’m looking for recommendations for a garage or specialist who can fit a third cat bypass and valve controller on an Emira. I already have the parts, just need someone to carry out the installation. Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Merry Christmas! It's been a bit quiet here for a few weeks so I thought I would see what people are doing to their cars during the winter months. I have sorted another set of wheels and tyres (Michelin PS5) for everyday use so I can save my Cup2's for track days (which I intend to do a few of in 2026). I have also got hold of a baffled sump which I'll get fitted in May when my car is due it's next service. I am missing getting out in my car more than ever. Since the end of September, I've only taken it out twice!!

Can anyone help me with the JDM EP3 type R upgrade/facelift 8720-PRD-J02 ECU E plug pin-out color by either the service manual or taking a detailed photo of the E plug . I presume the pre facelift car being 8720-PRD-003 being slightly different in pin-out color . Help would greatly be appreciated .

Ladies and Gentlemen I’m working on isolating an issue with a 2ZZ NA Exige. I’ve had an issue where the TPS drops out. Reading and seeking advice everywhere, I’m suspecting it’s a grounding issue. Having read about other hallmark grounding issues, speedo dips periodically, starter awhile back fired but wouldn’t turn over until multiple attempts. This leads me to believe there’s a grounding issue that the aftermarket ECU is sensitive to fluctuations. I’ve checked the diagrams for the grounding routes. Additionally I’ve noted the VVT solenoid on the pulley side is grounded to the fuel filler neck point, potential ground loop. I’m seeking the following advice…
