Engine bay cover grills.

Hi guys, I’d like to have all my black plastics sprayed and laquered matt black.

I’m struggling to see how the upper engine bay grills are removed from the lid. It looks like they have been double side foam taped into place. Would this be correct? Also the small rear outer grills, how are they removed as I can’t see any screws or nuts from inside the boot compartment. Any info much appreciated 👍

S2?  Yes, double-sided foam tape on the engine lid.

Are you looking at the tiny fake vents next to the lights?  Not the flat perforated grill around the reflector and exhaust?  Apparently they were sometimes bonded and sometimes bolted, not sure when or why.

Ah ok. Yes it’s an S2. Yes the small fake vents outside of the rear lights. I can’t find any nuts/screws on the inside of the boot so I guess potentially they might be bonded. That’s a pain!
