Hi and good morning all. Ive had my S2 111R for 6 months now and cant get my head around why lotus installed such a huge rear view mirror for such a tiny view? I gave 2 questions, 1 how do I remove the old one? I can slide it down on the screen mount by about 5mm but then it stops and I can’t see the next steps to getting it off. 2, can anyone recommend a smaller aftermarket one that would be suitable? many thanks and have a good day!

As the title says - I know nothing about tyres for bigger cars but I thought some of the sages among the MLOC massive might have the low-down. What do you reckon? Thanks in advance 😊 Dean

Hi I viewed a 111R at the weekend. As part of the negotiations the Elise had a service yesterday. During the health check video, the guy at the Lotus specialist in Northampton highlighted ‘bubbling’ on the rear clam. I did not notice it on Saturday. Should I be concerned? My initial research suggests it could be a problem that is likely to only get worse over time, but other sources suggests it is very common. I welcome your thoughts. Thank you.

Hello Took off the rear passenger wheel arch liner of an evora and found this air vent just sat there loose. Various things indictate the wheel arch liner has not been off since it left the factory. So while Im pretty confident it does not belong on the car. Is anyone able to just squish that last scintilla of doubt for me...because it's such a random thing to be there from the factory? Thanks in advance for help Cheers MrWill

I have the above magazines from issue 6 (March 2019) to issue 36 (Jan 2024) Free to a good home, seems a shame to throw them away.

Hello My wiper motor has broken (stops after a few wipes, random parking) and I am looking for a replacement (motor only). I previously managed to fit a new motor (Bosch 0 390 246 310) but I cannot now find one in stock anywhere. Can anybody please suggest a source, or an alternative? I have seen a whole wiper assembly for sale: https://www.eliseparts.com/shop/windscreen-wipers-washers/right-hand-drive-wiper-motor-set-b117m0104s/. However, understand that is a clam-off job to install it, which I do not have time to organise at the moment. According to the sticker in the photos, it uses a Bosch 0 390 243 201 motor, but that does not seem to be availabl…

First post, owned a 1997 S1 since January. This site ("Wet Boot", topic now closed) tells me these S1s sometimes came fitted with drain pipes in the boot, fitted to the round drainage hole in the boot gutter. Mine just floods because it's got no drain pipe and, crucially, I can't figure out the correct exit route for a bodge-job pipe. Could anyone share a photo of the proper drainage pipe in situ? Much appreciated!

I have a fibreglass repair to make so thought I would share the progress here. You'll see from the pictures that there is a large hole that needs to be made good, so I have a new repair section to bond in. I'm fairly sure where I'll make the join but I have a couple of choices. I'll make the final decision after a bit more thinking. Very happy to receive advice. A hole: Remove the aluminium under tray. Unplug this connector so the cable can be passed through the wheel arch liner. Dismount this connector attached to the inside of the wheel arch liner. Remove the plastic screws and pull out the fixings that hold the wheel arch l…

Hi all I’m going to be doing work on the underside of my car and I’ve found all the jacking points required. Has anyone done the “ Lift puck upgrade” seems it saves time in removing the under panel.

Hi, I'm new to forum, and hopefully in the right area. I managed to somehow suffer damage to my O/S rear engine bay vent grille that sits behind the driver's door. I have removed the damaged unit, but not for want of trying can't get the replacement in. Has anyone been able to manipulate this part into place; am Dreading that I may need to somehow split the rear clamshell from the door sill section to gain the necessary access which I feel will be a whole heap of pain! Any / all advice greatly appreciated. Thx

Been out for a drive tonight, all fine. Stopped to fill up, went to set off, nothing happened. Red light stopped flashing as it should when I pressed the key fob. Turned the key, hear the fuel pump prime, all dash lights are fine, but nothing from the starter. Checked the inertia switch (just in case, but I know the fuel pump wouldn't have primed if that was the issue). Sat waiting for breakdown, but does anyone have any ideas?

Can anyone advise how the old (broken) clip can be remioved and how to fit the new one please. It's probably straightforward enough but I'm just waiting for the replacement to arrive in the post so I thought I'd ask for advice to be ahead of the game. Thank you!

My Bosch Type 063 has given up after just over 3 years (2 months out or Warranty 😩). I'm thinking of trying a Varta as Bosch are made in China now. Any other recommendations please? Thanks, Andrew
