Cracking Job Max.

I have seen a good few of these posts in last 12/18 months on various forums, seems like the glue has reached it life expectancy on lots of cars, mine included.

I have cleaned mine off but not got around to  replacing the fabric. and TBh had got used to the bare look .

however your effort looks great, what glue did you use, and how difficult was it to do ? I am reasonably handy and have a son with small fingers for the fiddlily bits :)

If you have some spare fabric, I will gladly take it off your hands and give mine a go. i can send funds for postage any anything you want for the fabric.

Cheers

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the feedback - I'm really pleased with how it looks.

The recommended glue which I got from Woolies (https://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/) when i ordered the cloth https://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/brushed-nylon-headlining-light-grey-copy-2 was https://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/p-1554-high-heat-resistant-aerosol-adhesive but I ran out of the first can and finished it off with https://amzn.eu/d/2xs6gAR

The remaining fabric comes on a large roll to prevent fold lines. It looks more like a roll of carpet ~ 1.8m long x ~15cm diameter (although its very light). looks like there should easily be enough to do another roof.

Probably best to collect rather than post (west Nottingham). drop me a message if you'd like to.

Max.

Headlining fell out of my S1 Exige along with the fabric coming off the back of the seats. As getting the roof off the S1 means getting the clam off I made template covered a stiff card backing and installed it upside down.

I used a stretchy fabric and adhesive from eBay on the roof and seat backs.

That looks a great job - (and thank goodness the roof unscrews on the S2 exige)
