I was wondeing if anybody know of a place in the midlands that would balance the clutch and flywheel as an assembly? I know its best to do the crank too, but not sure I really want to pull the crank. If I pull the crank its new head gaskets, and headbolts... Open to opinions Mission creep Quote
William D8on Posted June 29 Author Posted June 29 Small Piece of progress. The Gearbox has gone to the Soda blasters... lets see if we can get this moving again. Even if little Bits. Things I need to consider and apreciate input. 1. Nitron yes or no. curently on the stock bilstines. 2. ECU. Stock or Emerald or Other if stock who can I take it to to reprogram so I can keep my lotus 5AS? and maybe yweak as required. if Emeral, how does the imobiloser even work? is it much better, or do you need to upgrade to the better Lamda sensors before it really comes in. If Emeral can you have swappable maps on a button? If Other What. 3. Then there is the steel work. Who can I drop brackets and fastners off to get them re coated? or just invest in my own chemicals? winthattt Posted July 1 Posted July 1 There is a company called kmaps who offer various options with the stock ecu, dual maps, power tweaks, immobiliser etc. 1 Quote
collieek Posted July 1 Posted July 1 2. ECU. If Emerald can you have swappable maps on a button? The immobiliser will still work with an Emerald, you can have a switch to change maps on the fly mine has three positions. I believe a wide band sensor is better so the ecu can adjust but you do not have to have one. Great British sports cars just tweaked mine recently for MOT emissions the guy there really knows his stuff so if you go with a different ECU might be an idea to speak to them. 1 Quote
William D8on Posted July 7 Author Posted July 7 Had some Text with the guys a K Maps about what to do with the ECU. He said I will need to run both the ECU from the 160 and the Lotus ECU and to contact Bridgehouse Base for this. When I got my gearbox, I could have grabed a harness already configures... So whish i had now. Quote
William D8on Posted July 13 Author Posted July 13 Gear box has now gone to be rebuilt. Big conversations about gear ratios. What Ratios would you guys think is good for Track and motorway. I am thinking Close ration 1 to 4 for track and a long 5 or the motorway. Quote

Lithopsian Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Do you know what gearset is in the box right now? Or is it entirely up to you what you put in there? Quote
