Looking to fit janspeed or (more likely) piper manifold to the elise (the downpipe has split). Would like to take it to Horizon but have difficulty getting over for a fair few weeks/month. It shouldn't be rocked science and a good garage should be able to change the manifold. SteveB on Seloc can supply the piper with flexi for £420 inc delivery and feels that a competent garage should be able to fit. So, the question is, do any of you guys know a good garage in the Derby area who could change the manifold on the elise? Cheers Simon

Found myself at a loose end on Saturday night and as the weather was glorious and had just had a full set of green stuffs installed I decided to head off for a blast around the fabelled Hallaton Loop. Apart from these roads being absolutely perfect for the Elise/Exige I am also constantly amazed by the beauty of the country side on this run (not trying to sound like a hippy or anything). I always love it when you find a nice stretch of road, no traffic as such and get a chance to remember that outside our increasingly f*cked up cities we still have some form of escape. Oh and the exhuast sounds ace going trhough some of the villages with those brick wall bits!…

I have not long got back from a weeks holiday driving through France, down to Switzerland for the mountain passes and on to Stelvio, then back up through Austria, the Black Forests of Germany and up through the Grand Ballons region of France in the S2 Exige with a load of Caterhams. Ok very interesting to me, but what might interest you was that I went to the Swiss Lotus & Caterham dealers Fredy Kumschick (http://www.kumschick.com) Who have topped the Lotus 240r product. They have managed to bolt on a kompressor unit and added extra cooling (to get around the almost useless vent that's used from the roof to cool the 240r upgrade) giving the car 260bhp and a b…

Oh SHIT indeed. I've only gone and driven a 111R - now thats really buggered me up with my wont change cars plan. Thank you to my MLOC buddies with "sign on the dotted line" quotes - buggers Have to say, I am MEGA impressed with that car it's clearly been manufactured to get rid of the GAY S2 owner image and the handling was stunning. For a road tyre those Bridgestones were fantastic, I'd never run anything other than real stickies on such a car. Gonna cut this post of short as Kim's started reading them now. Needless to say, Malbon may yet win the longest ownership poll.

Am I going to need towing eyes for the car incase it goes for a swim in the kitty litter? Also would the remote stat kit be advisable? I was thinking of this anyway as the temperature isn't stable (fluctuated between 87-106 today).

I have a few cars, Lexus is200 (aircon brill) and an old celica (aircon brill) The Lotus by comparison is shite???? Since I have had it (Oct 2004) I have not used the aircon much but have kept it ticking once every few weeks to ensure it's running ok. I know the weather is exceptional at the mo but is anyone elses motor the same. I also have a very large puddle at the front. I know that the aircon does this but it seems excesive in comparison. Your thoughts???
