A new initiative that could be of use to everyone: > > >Following the disaster in London . . . > >East Anglian Ambulance Service have launched a national "In case of >Emergency ( ICE ) " campaign with the support of Falklands war hero Simon >Weston. > >The idea is that you store the word " I C E " in your mobile phone >address >book, and against it enter the number of the person you would want to be >contacted "In Case of Emergency". > >In an emergency situation ambulance and hospital staff will then be able >to quickly find out who your next of kin are and be able to contact them. >It's so simple that everyo…

Have been looking at yamaha Hard drive music systems, so can store all my Cd's and easy access them as if on a juke box, I don't want to have a big pc in my lounge, or even a small pc, and don't want to turn on the tv as a screen, and dont want a pdf to browse either, although this does look like a good option. So now I have come full circle and am looking at an ipod or equivilent. I notice on some download sites they dont recommend them due to music format issues? I assume this is just a download music war and one can get most music in any format?? I was told one can tune in a radio to receive the ipod?? Does this work in the car? and even on an elise radio? If …

Morning, Has anyone bought the suede "Sparco Ring" from elisparts ? They do it for about £100 which seems reasonable (Demon Tweeks seem to be pretty good too, and they charge £116) I'm just a bit worried about the size. . My old MOMO is a chunky 300mm - but everything I'm looking at on t'internet it 330. ) Also considering a OMP Trecanto (might be able to get this in 300mm - but have never heard of the brand ? - concerned about quality - suede wear and tear) There are no boy racer places in Sunderland that actually stock anything in suede that I can go and see in person so have to rely on pictures on the net. . Any words of wisdom ? …

Of limited interest to most of us, but for the few M100 Elan owners Lotus Elan Central has undergone a massive revamp and the site (along with links to its forum) is back and can be found here: http://www.lotuselancentral.com/index.htm It's still work in progress, but (for those of you who have visited it before) I think you'll agree it has taken a quantum leap for the better. A familiar thread - but yesterday, I finally attended my first airfield driver training day. In summary it was awesome, learnt loads and realised how much I didn't know... Having owned an Elise for three years, and having come from FWD, in hindsight this should have been the first stop after leaving the dealer. Excellent tuition from Andy, highly recommended and good value, although I now need to source 2 No. Rear Bridgestones for my 111R! Also, for Le Mans vets, when I got into work this morning, generous colleague who had just returned from British Grand Prix met Oliver Gavin, GT1 class winner, so I now have a signed poster of the Corvettes. After washing the car last week it suddenly dawned on me that while the car was certainly cool it looked a bit bling with the bright alloy wheels, and it certainly wasn't mean or pimping enough. So before:

Having seen Fifth Gear give the new TVR Sagaris a bit of credability, I wonder if Clarkies crew will too. Oh please don't put the Hampster in it, he'll get lost in there. Only Tivver I'e seen out of the factory that seems to handle right from the start. Love to know what you guys think about it, good and bad. Bob
