AlanS1
The speedo drive hole is used as the filling point only as it is far easier to get to on my car. As i did strip and clean, fit new bearings, seals and a new Quaife on my gearbox i know that it was totally empty on mine. I then measured out the 2.4ltrs. If i was just topping up then you would still have to remove the fill/level plug to ensure that you do not over fill. However i would still top up via my speedo drive hole. Doing it this way i also know straight away when i have enough oil in as there is not anything like a pipe etc blocking the fill/level hole. Like mentioned everyone to their own. @ndy
Is the speedo drive at the same height as the fill plug then? It should take 2.4L IIRC. ^^This^^ The speedo drive hole is used as the filling point only as it is far easier to get to on my car. Alex B
Had yesterday off work, it give myself a fighting chance of being done in time for thunder in the park . Start the morning off around 10:30ish with bleeding the coolant. The seloc guide wasn't overly helpful, so a quick couple of phone calls with the oracle (Gav) and I was clear on how to do it. Oil cooler mounting, this was the first attempt and it sat to high Quick rethink and it now fits comfortably Took the car for a quick couple of laps round the block, seems to drive fine. Air filter back on. Rear clam back on The bay Running a lot healthier now

Alex B
Well put the last few bits back on today and went for a little drive. Interior, any excuse to show of the beautiful yet somewhat dirty seats. Boot/bonnet on, pain in the ass to line up. Just a few finishing touches left now, one of these is sorting the cam timing out. Alex B
Alex, can you get in touch with the last owner and get his map or get it off Emerald if it was done there?Unfortunately not Martin.Previously ran off standard ecu with VVC it's now running my solid cams. It shouldn't be too hard to sort, I was playing around with them yesterday as it power delivery was very hesitant in each map. First thing to try is my Northampton motorsport map.
