I've just had confirmation that my pride and joy is ready.... 13 weeks in the waiting Anyhow, I don't suppose anyone is going that way from Leic's tomorrow morning? Otherwise I'll have to wait till Monday for a ride from a work collegue.

I'm off to Horizon on Saturday Thought I'd give them try given the rave reviews on here. Second 'A' service time, but also ride height & geo are a must. Other things that I think may crop up are: 1) Steering rack - feels bl00dy awful at the moment (though I'm hoping the geo will sort this). 2) Rear toe links - rather now then if they were to fail on track. 3) Gear linkage & short shift - to cure the god awful action it has now. 4) Brake disks & pads - if on the marginal side, (definite groove on the front disks at present). Can anyone think of anything I may have missed? (apart from a Honda engine that is) Cars going to be there for 2 wee…

Of course, none of us drink and drive. Should you wish to know <Edit - apparently my last post was a little misleading, so take a look and use your judgement; http://www.driveandstayalive.com/articles%...-BAC-limits.htm > Dobs and I have a breathaliser (strictly not admissible evidence in court, but a good guide line). We got it for about £15-ish in Costco for those, 'morning after' moments. Happy to see if they are still stocking them if anyone is interested. ............it's enough to scare you...........

Hi Everyone! I've had the price back for the sunstrips now. For the Sunstrip & the 2 stickers & P&P I will need to charge £35 for each sunstrip to cover costs. Is that ok for everyone? I can find out a price for just the sunstrips on they're own if people would prefer?, although I'd need to know by tonight really. Thanks Dave

Just had a chat with a fella (dealer, but not a lotus garage) regarding a rather nice looking aqua S2 up Bradford way. It's a bit of a trip, so for the sake of making it worthwhile for both of us I thought it best to ask regards the car's history. Couple of owners, not many miles for its year, (51 reg). Mechanically sound - so I'm told! - and FLSH. But... has been involved in a low speed bump, causing a bit of a scuff on the near side rear wheel arch, and a crack approx 1/4 inch in length. Now as I mentioned the other day, I'm no mechanic. Does this seem like a reasonable cause for the crack? And is it something that's likely to either a) get worse over time or…

Some work mates and I did a track evening in the on Friday (cheered me up from my little back end scraping incident). I was in the S1 of course and there were various other flavours of car, the oddest being a Smart FourFour... As soon as we saw a sign saying Donington the heavens opened, and didn't really stop until we were leaving the circuit, but it was still a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I'm now thinking about what I can do to the car to get around the circuit in less time. Main ones being uprating the brakes so I can brake later, and to fit a shortened gearshift. I've got the induction kit, silenced decat and sporty exhaust and can vouch that they are just …

Ok ok I hear everyone admiring the K20a 2001+ CTR engine conversion into Elises/Exiges but at the cost of 10k I think its over the top. About 6k all in on any reasonably new turbo jap import would create an utter monster. So I realised ive never heard of anybody using the DC2 Integra B18c5 block. Near 200bhp/130lb/ft lightweight block and cheaper. Im certain its been done. Anyone? If so how does it compare to the K20?
