Hi folks, hope everyone is OK? Not been around here for a while as we went off to get married, have a new job and also moved house! Been a bit busy of late Don't have a PC at home yet either so have to wait for quiet times in the office to catch up with you all...! Have I missed much recently then? I see BLOWN K is back on the road, can't wait to see it Jon. Scott - I gather you're off the road for some reason. Nothing serious I hope? I guess there's no run this month due to Le Mans? Have promised to take the brother-in-law out on the next one so I'll see you all then. What's Bob driving nowadays - has he made it to an Esprit now? Speak to…

Hi all, Im new here and i was hoping someone could answer some questions for me before i go and purchase my Elise. Im almost ready to get a Elise, im looking at the 1.8 Elise tourer MK2! However i have a few questions regards to this. I live in the Midlands so are there plenty of specialists for parts, MOT etc ?? What are the common problems with running a Elise??? If so what cost is involved in this??? Any other advice on my buying my first Elise would be much appreciated. I have waited sometime to buy one of these and i want to make it a happy experience and not a bad one! Regards Pudd

Half asleep this morning, backing out of the driveway.. crunch. Had a very low speed bash with my neighbours parked Rover - little or no damage to his (small mercy I suppose). Blue paint on mine, scuff mark & a bit of crazing on the fibreglass. I'm guessing this is a rear clam respray isn't it? Where is a good place I can get this done near Nottingham. Quality & price always a factor... Rob (in a huff)

Its the best Obviously you commoners with wipe-clean leather seats don't have the problems us classy alacantra people do - but should you one day join the ranks, don't forget your autoglym interior shampoo. *NB - its not because I've got any dodgy stains, but because I've got a SELOC'er interested in buying

Well er, didn't even make it out of the UK without being stopped by the cops. Following a 5 series BMW down the A513 towards Burton from Tamworth, miles out in the country roads. Hog in the beemer was all over the place, so when a nice straight came along, had a good look and whipped past him. About 4 miles further on, a plod car appears in the rear view mirror all lights blazing and two tones. I slow down and pull over a bit to wave him past, then he points to me to pull in. So I did. Now I'm sitting there, fag in one hand, Bugs Bunny baseball cap on, sunny bins, and blasting UB40 out at hell of a volume to drown the exhaust sound. PC 1 comes …

Anybody know what this is - can't find it on my documents (unless it's just the Nottingham number that's a pre-recorded message at the weekends!)?

Hi! I'm picking the sunstrips up on Sat morning, then I'm going Stratford upon Avon for the day. If anyone is out that way and could pick they're sunstrip up to save waiting for the post, then give me a shout and we can arrange to meet up. Obviously if anyone was prepared to go Leic's way I can arrange to meet there. Cheers! Dave

Who would be interested in a heated front screen for an s1? I fancy one for my car and was speaking to a manufacturer who reckons if he gets 15 orders he will make them. The heating element is the fine mesh type like you find on new mondeos etc. I haven't looked in to how you would fit it to your vehicles electrics (heated front screens tend to use fairly heavy duty cable)also wiring it up would not be included in the price (d.i.y).It's got to be a good excuse to wire up the 5th switch.I dont know the weight of the new screen but i'm sure it will be heavier.I seem to remember that the original elise screen is fairly thin.He did say there would be a fairly long lead time on…
