Does anyone on here get thier Liz serviced at a non Lotus garage. i.e. local garage???? I am a bit handy myself, so can do some work. But my local garage buddie says he can service it for me when needed. [he's serviced and done work on all my cars] What i need to know is - do you need to take it to a lotus approved dealer? They are bloody expensive. I have full LSH and have had a look through the reciepts. The cat C Service cost the previous guy £1700. £800 of that in labour So what do you do? Cheers guys. Chris. BTW - where is the cheapest lotus garage around staffs/bham [i live near cannock/stafford]

Just had my car back from Nick Whale, finally had the geo check I've been promising it for ages. What a difference, its like driving a different car, turn in is dramatically better, the whole plot seems far more planted and stable. God alone knows what the guy who had it before me had done, 'cos looking at the figures, some of the settings were grossly out. So a huge vote of thanks to NW.

Hi, I have a dilemma which I have been considering for several weeks. Its very simple in principle “should I buy a Lotus 111R or not” now as this is a site dedicated to the pursuit of the lotus I would imagine that the response will be Yes buy one there great! But let me share with you my concerns; I have read many road tests on these car and I have even test drove one myself which I did enjoy! So I have no issues with the way the car will handle or drive every report has given it the thumbs up. But my problem lies in that this will be my main car apart from my girlfriends Golf so it must be right in all areas: How practical is this car for everyday life? Wi…

Hi everyone - Me and my mate (with Caterham) are thinking of having a week driving in France and going into Belgium, Luxumbourg and Germany (Autobhan ) some time in the next few weeks and I was wondering if anyone had ever done this (I'm sure you have) and if you had any recommended routes/roads/things to see etc. and things to think about. Thanks. Gaz

Steve and Sal, also Rus. Today I realised the old brain is fading = fast. Steve n Sal for the wipers recall and run Worcs and knowing your car as soon as I saw it. Russ, don't know where to begin saying sorry. I was a bit consumed by the probs with the Excel and had gone into brain won't work mode. Anyway, Kim slapped me about a bit verbally, so i will never, ever forget today ! So even if I have a short memory loss/retention of a hampster I will now Remember Steve's superb post on wiper probs S1 Elise ( ta Steve) and Rus near Tambo Happy days guys n gals.

Picked the car up today with the roof rattle fixed, the exhaust replaced, the service done, car washed and £10 change to boot.(not sure about aircon havent tested it yet) Just to let you all know that these guys always meet you with a pleasent smile and a cup of coffee. I would reccomend them to anyone on here!! Top Job!!!
