I've sent the take off plate back and have a front port take off coming instead, so that's now sorted.

A little bit more progress this morning before coming in to watch the Grand Prix...I've fitted the fuel tank back in!

Lifting it in to position...

Done...

Making sure I've got enough room to get my new fuel pipes in...

That's an uprated fuel pump, I couldn't live with the thought of having to fit a secondary pump if the oem one couldn't do the business.

Next job is to get the hard line bent to shape and fitted up.

Also picked up a standard throttle body from eBay yesterday to strip all the sensors and throttle linkage off. Another big job out of the way.

Dan, which fuel pump have you gone for? I presume the level sender comes with it? Im also presuming this is compatable?

Posted

Eliseshop, comes with new style sender too so I have high hopes for actually knowing how much fuel I've got!

Straight plug and play job, very easy to fit.

A little bit more progress now, flow and return are in as is the fuel filter, next job is the hard lines up the bulkhead.

My next headache is the throttle cable....it's too short!

Just been out for ten minutes before getting rained off and fitted a few of the clips i'm using to hold the hard line in place. They're 10mm pneumatic hose clips and do the job perfectly.

This isn't a brilliant picture but i've fixed them under the 'shelf' that is created by moving the bulkhead back - the return will go along here too, hence a pair of clips.

With the clips in the place and pipes and hoses tightened up, this is the end result.

Dan you are bringing this car to Chatsworth so we can have a proper neb, aren't you? (please say yes)

Dunno why the typeface went all funny then. Sorry it looks a bit shouty.
