russelld
Good luck with the wiring. All that coloured spaghetti looks very scary.
danwebster
You're telling me....i've deciphered the original lotus stuff, which wasn't actually that difficult after going through the wiring diagrams methodically, but its based on an engine with about two sensors on it, the honda engine has about thirty

danwebster
I'm getting tantalisingly close to having the car back on its wheels now. I picked up my drive flanges today and pressed the old ones and bearings out of my hubs. I cleaned them up and gave them a nice coat of POR15... Tomorrow I'm going to press some new bearings in and the new flanges, then I've got all of the suspension ready to bolt on the car. I built up all of the wishbones yesterday with new ball joints and nitron rose joints... I might have done a bit more but I gave up not long after hitting my thumb with a hammer
DeanB
Ouch. You see, this is why I don't do my own mechanicing. I could if I wanted to though.

AL.
I built up all of the wishbones yesterday with new ball joints and nitron rose joints... Imagine the unsprung weight if Lotus had originally designed the wishbones to levitate like that!

danwebster
Pressed the new bearings and drive flanges into the rear hubs this morning before work as well as pushing two new front wheel bearings in as well. Built the first corner up after work tonight, copious amounts of duralac and copper slip were used. The dampers are strictly temporary, once it's running and I can save a few pennies there will be some trick dampers going on it to complement the rose joints and adjustable anti roll bar. It should be pretty awesome.
