Ok, I have had a great response of people siging up for the Big Meet and we currently have over 30 cars signed up which would be a great turnout (of course more would be even better and everyone is welcome to attend). The list I have has been going for a couple of months now, so if you have said you will attend, please can you either reply to this thread either confirming your attendance or saying if you can no longer attend/or just send me a PM. For everyone else that hasnt signed up yet and wants to, just send me a PM saying you want to attend along with your contact details and I will add you to the list below. Looking forward to seeing you all in a few weeks …

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Jon for sorting out the Big Meet yesterday and for Neil for giving us such a great route and of course to everyone else who came along. After a very soggy cold start the sun came out for us and I think it was a good day had by all I know my group had a few casualties in the form of one cracked headlight, a busted radiator and one injured cyclist but it was all good fun and thank you to G for leading us (with the help of TomTom of course), although I am sure the 2nd group took a short cut in the morning to catch up with us lol Thanks again and I look forward to seeing everyone on the next one very soon

I know it's a few days off but the weather forecast isn't looking great for Sunday especially when your car has no roof. Just had the S2 MOTd so could come in that if it's going to rain but really want to bring the 340R. Has anyone got a MASSIVE umberella I could use if it's raining seriously though a day of rain showers is not going to be fun if I bring it.... Here's hoping the forecast changes.

A couple of folks have asked what time I'm heading over to Hinckley on Sunday morning. I'm intending to leave Kidderminster around 8:30 to get to the meeting point well in time (knowing my time keeping is dodgy at best lol!) I'm travelling up to Halesowen on to the M5 at Jct 3 then across the M6. If you fancy tagging along, let me know and we can pick a meeting point. Can't wait! See you all there!

Much as I'd love to go, I can't make it on Sunday. However, there is a chance I could get to PTP around 4 or 5pm (ish) to see everyone as they arrive. I was just wondering if this would be worth it? Are people likely to hang around, chatting & comparing notes? If so, it would be great to be there & meet a few more of you. Or are you all likely to just b*gger off home? What are your thoughts? (PS: I assume that, as I wouldn't be joining the run, I don't need to register?)

Dear all, Mark has kindly created this sub-forum for all members to get all the information they need on this year's Big Meet. Use this section to catch up on the latest information, follow the progress of the organisation of the run, organise your own nonvoy's to the meeting point on the day, and generally thrown a bit of banter around. 1 month to go! Hope to see you all there

Right, we have a little bit of an issue. Last time we did this run we stopped at the Holly Bush Inn in Priors Marston for a lunch time baguette. I re-ran the 1st half of the route today to check the notes then stopped off in the pub and there is no way we are going to get 40+ cars in there. Also, they don't have a snack menu on Sundays, just Sunday lunch - and I'm pretty sure most people won't want a belly full of roast beef bouncing around all afternoon. I spoke to the chap who owns the place and he wasn't too keen for a load of people to turn up and fill his car park only to have a coke and a sandwich. So, plan B? I did do some scouting around to see what …

The 2009 Big Meet If you only do one run this year make sure it's this one Date: Sunday 7th June 2009 Starting point: TBC Lunch: TBC End point: TBC The aim of this run is to have as many members attend as possible, we are hoping to meet up, drive off in the country side, stop off for some food and then return home. This run will not be a quick thrash around the B roads, it will be more of a gentle sometimes spirited run out with a few dozen friends. At the moment I need Ideas on where we should go (is Wales too obvious?) Ideas on where to eat Volunteers to map the actual run (so far G has volunteered ) Group leaders. If we get enough interest then…

The 2009 Big Meet If you only do one run this year make sure it's this one Sunday 7th June 2009 This run is still in the calendar as the Big event for Midlands owners in 2009. A big thank you to those who have already expressed their interest in the event and will be attending on June 7th. I have to say, I'm really looking forward to it as it stands to be a great opportunity to catch up with the old timers and meet the newbies, it's always amusing putting faces to user names, let alone real names!! The reason for this separate update is a clarification on the route. There is indecision between a run into Wales, starting from somewhere like Shrewsbury…
