Hello, everyone, I'm turning to this community in search of advice and recommendations. I've encountered an unexpected challenge with my vehicle's transmission. It's recently become quite hesitant when attempting to shift into the top gear, often resulting in excessive revving before finally making the transition with a noticeable jolt. It feels like I'm approaching the day when "Top Gear" is just a TV show for me, even though I've heard it's nearing its end. I'm contemplating the necessity of a transmission repair or replacement, but the impending cost is a source of concern, especially if I were to consider a Hyundai service center. Have any of you explored al…

Hello all, I would like to ask for some help. In 1972 I built an new Elan Sprint, but had to sell it after 2 years to buy a flat. I have now found a very similar car which is for sell at £40K. It is very original but I think over priced for the condition. Does anyone know of an expert who could do an independent valuation on the car for me? It has had a replacement chassis, and an engine rebuild about 13,000 miles ago. I am concerned about the doors not fitting correctly and problems with 2 areas of crazing ( worst around o/s boot hinge) and bubbles on the bonnet paint. Any pointers would be very gratefully received.

Good evening everyone, This post is a bit more doom and gloom than my usual material but I need some advice on how to proceed with an exhaust I ordered from 2Bular (Jim) some months back. I spoke to Jim before placing the order and had a lovely chat. I placed the order the following week (circa 20th July) with a rough date to aim for - the WC 14th of August. I spoke to Jim the following week for an update; again had a lovely chat and a welcome update on progress. I had a text the following Monday (August 29th) saying an order from "TUBULAR TECHNIK LTD" was due to be delivered etc. However, I never received anything and sent an email to Jim to ask what was going…

I bought my first Lotus Elise S1 back in 2000. Having suffered from a large dose of 'mid-life crisis', I pick up a previously loved Elise S2 on Wednesday this week. I can't tell you how excited I am to be back in a Lotus again!

This mini Caffine & Machine in Derbyshire (Baslow Rd, Eastmoor, Chesterfield S42 7DA) is holding a Lotus Breakfast Meet on Saturday 12th August. Book a place online at : https://www.ignitioncarsandcoffee.co.uk/. Cost £0.00 I'm heading for the 9-11.00 slot. Anyone else up for it? I can vouch for the coffee, and the bacon butties smell good although haven't sampled yet.

Ok ok, I know it’s a little late, but we’ve finally just published our One Eleven Cars Elisa interview from our Summer 2022 road trip. Better late than never right?! A huge thanks to Elisa (and Matthias) as we spent a day with them and ‘Sunshine’ in the foothills overlooking her home!
