Code of conduct
Code of Conduct for MLOC
1. Respect and Courtesy All members are expected to conduct themselves with the highest levels of respect and courtesy during any club-related activity, whether online or offline. This expectation extends to interactions with both fellow members and non-members. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all participants can enjoy their shared passion for cars without discrimination or discomfort.
2. Professional and Ethical Conduct Members must avoid any actions or behaviors that could potentially harm the reputation of the club or its operations. This includes, but is not limited to, refraining from illegal activities, upholding the club's integrity, and avoiding any engagements that might reflect negatively on the club or its community.
3. Anti-Discrimination and Harassment Policy We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful community. As such, discrimination, harassment, or any other behavior that undermines the dignity or self-esteem of an individual will not be tolerated. This applies to but is not limited to discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or any other legally protected characteristic.
4. Enforcement of Code of Conduct Violations of these guidelines may result in actions taken by the administration team, including but not limited to warnings, suspension of membership privileges, or expulsion from the club, depending on the severity of the misconduct.
5. Reporting and Grievance Procedures Members are encouraged to report any incidents where they feel these principles have been breached. Reports can be made confidentially to the designated officers, and every complaint will be investigated thoroughly and impartially. We are committed to ensuring fairness and respect for all parties involved.

hey all 👋 I've been looking at a couple of car shows like the two I've linked below with a view to showing my car at them. The thing is that the paintwork and trim etc isn't in pristine condition, and it gets worse when you poke around the engine bay...! I expect there's a variety of standards of cars on display though at a lot of events... not all cars are kept in immaculate condition but it's still nice to see a variety at these events. Does anyone here show their cars? If so, anything you can share about going about it? Any shows you'd recommend over others? https://greatbritishmotorshows.com/event/lytham-hall-classic-car-and-motorcycle-show/ https…

Hi all, as some of you may have already spotted, there's a brand new Lotus magazine on the horizon - Type Lotus - launching in Spring 2026. Created by the drivers, for drivers (we're all Lotus owners), the magazine will celebrate the global Lotus community and showcase some truly extraordinary Lotus cars. We're proud to be supporting MLOC and will be featuring an article on the club in an early issue, as well as promoting MLOC events/meets/updates wherever we can. Type Lotus magazine will bring you road tests, road trips, exclusive interviews and much more. Our primary focus will be on current and ‘modern classic’ models (anything post-Elise) but we’ll a…

Hi all, I’m thinking of creating a navigation app (iOS and Android) to allow route creation and group navigation - question is, is it compelling enough for you to use, and indeed pay for?? Outline idea is route creation on a map, schedule a drive of that route and invite participants. Route creation (USP1:) checks the waypoints don’t cause any micro loops, assists with fixing if they do. Route navigation (USP2:) getting ‘close enough’ to a waypoint and carrying on without actually hitting it just moves on to the next one (maybe also easily manually skip waypoints while driving). Also (USP3:) ‘real time’ track all participants so you can see where they are (the …
