So the story starts way back in November last year when I decided to put the Lotus away for the winter, looking under the car I thought let’s give her a little spruce up in those cold winter months. just a quick clean up maybe power coat the springs etc … just make her nice! Well that opened the flood gates didn’t it and before I knew it we were into a full suspension / arm and brakes rebuild 🤦🏼♂️ So with some help the clam came off and what seems like an eternity ago the rebuild began, suspension off and up to Mick Gardner racing for a full rebuild , all the arms off , aqua blasted and then zinc coated as originally supplied. Brakes fully rebuilt and repainted alon…

Morning all . Having removed my wheels for a fresh blast and re powder coating after 10 years of being satin black , I have toyed with many options and decided to go ……satin black ! however my R888’s probably have 1 track day or half a dozen spirited drives on a Perfectly dry day in the peaks at 28 degrees. Having only ever run these on my car I am coming round to the thinking that a more reasonable but still focused tyre might mean the enjoy the car in more British conditions more of the time . Ethans Elise is on standard Yokohamas and leaves me well behind in wet damp conditions( could be the driver of course ) so what is the pick if the bunch if I go this…

Located on the Baslow road between the Robin Hood and Chesterfield, postcode S42 7DA, this new venture hopes to tap into the popular car/bike themed venue trend. Rachel and I called into this new motorist themed coffee bar yesterday whilst out on a run. It is situated just up the Chesterfield road from the Robin Hood (A619) just before you get to the Premier Inn. We were fairly impressed with the place, which only opened in January this year. There is a fair sized car park and the atmosphere is comfortable and there’s some automobilia dotted around to re-inforce the theme. Most of the time it’s just a drop-in, but they do host car clubs and they also promote their ow…

Hello, can anyone recommend a quality paint shop in the Midlands who would respray a hardtop to match the satin black colour from the 2021 black pack?

Loving the S3 Elise Sport 220, not disappointed by the car, it is a beast and very quick! Glad I bought it. Can anyone recommend some decent roads in the south of the Peak District? Going for a day trip from Birmingham and want some decent driving roads! Planning on going up the A515 to Buxton, then along the A6 to Matlock and Bakewell but happy to detour to something nicer. Any recommendations, pic for attention!

Can’t make it to LitP this yr so thought I’d give this a try for my mass-Lotus fix. Seems to be a SELOC favourite. Anyone going or been before with any tips? (Spotted that Jonathan E is going)

Well guys does anyone know how to write a good begging letter Its hard life has caught up with me Car went to have the front clam and sills painted and a new nose badge for what I felt was a very good price and while there have a pully noise investigated, now thats where it all goes downhill as it turns out the noise was the air con compressor I doubt if I asked you to guess the cost of the part you would get anywhere near, on most normal cars said part is maybe £500 Lotus £3037.88 + VAT !!! I have had a bit of luck as Bell and Colvill were trying to sell the part on Ebay for £1495 so I snapped it up then the next bit of bad news one of the upper pully's was …
