I have decided to sell the Elise after 9 years of brilliant driving. After speaking to a couple of Evora owners at LITP this year I have decided that an Evora will be my next car. The question is manual or auto? My budget will stretch to 2012 model year and there are a few out there. I have read about the potential gearbox and clutch issues on earlier Evora hence considering auto. However I am conscious that in the true spirit of the brand a manual should be the preferred option. What do you fellow MLOC ers consider the best option? Any auto Evora owners out there who could help? many thanks Nick

Hi, Hope those of you who attended LitP enjoyed this years event. It was great seeing such a lot of like minded people and their wonderful Lotus vehicles. I just wanted to thank Ray and the team of volunteers that work so hard to ensure we have a great day. Without them there would no event. So thank you for putting on such a great event. 👍👍👍💯

All being well, my Deep Purple 111S, which I’ve been working on for a few months, will be at Lotus in the Peak next weekend. I wasn’t planning to attend this year, but it has given me a reason to crack on with the next batch of jobs on the car…. I knew when buying the car that there was a little play in the steering rack. It’s been on my to do list for a while and LitP has given me a good reason to remove and refurb it with phosphor bronze cups. But I didn’t expect to discover, with the dampers and ARB removed, that the wishbones were anything but free in terms of up and down movement. To say they are binding is a serious understatement ! Together wi…
