Exige Soft Top

Hi everyone,

 

I'm after a soft top for an 15 plate exige for a friend, I need everything including the supports etc.

Is there much involved in removing the hardtop and putting a soft top on?

My advice to you - er, your friend....is that it's quite a simple thing to do for those so inclined. You ....er, I mean your friend....shouldn't have much trouble with it.

By 15-plate I assume you refer to a V6-S Coupe.

 

Hard top off is simple. The most difficult bit is cutting the roll-over cover to accept the rear anchor points for the roof stays (requires careful measuring and/or cutting template); once they're done and the anchor points bonded-in, fitting the soft top is no harder than an S2/3 Elise.

I've been told the Vx220 roof fits an elise/exige is this true because I feel like I have more chance of getting one from GM-Vauxhall than from Lotus, apparently they are on back order.

Yes this is true they do fit.

 

 

Try posting a wanted ad in the SELOC classifieds and you might get a good second hand one..
