Chrome Orange Exige Stolen

On Friday night (22nd Feb) my Chrome Orange Exige S2 was stolen from our house in Barrow Upon Soar, Loughborough. It seems it was some kind of organised gang who were 'professionals', as they broke into the house, took all the documentation and spare keys, along with some other bits, and drove off in the car.Another house in the area also had their car stolen - a brand new BMW M3.

Just thought it may be worth putting something on here in case someone has seen it as it's reasonably distinctive!

Pic of the car below, the reg is DK05 CXS, although the police suspect that the plates will have been changed immediately.

Thanks

Sorry to hear that, its a very distinctive car so fingers crossed, not that many about so more difficult to get rid of I'm sure.

I've pinned this topic for you to get it noticed!

Is there anything on the car that would distinguish this from other similar cars? For example, a mod, scratch/mark or none standard tyres etc??? Was it completely standard... quiet exhaust etc?

Sorry to hear about the theft of the Exige.

I suspect it will end up abroad.

Im lucky to garage my Elise and the keys are kept secure in the house, spare keys and documents in a safe.

B##tards. However i suspect that one is gone for good. It seems to professional a job for it to be found again. Doubly unlucky really as its a very rare occurrence with a Lotus being stolen. It may well have been stolen to order.

Really sorry to read this :(

Have made a note of the number plate and as a Leicestershire girl I will keep my eyes peeled while I'm out and about just in case I spot it.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the support. It was most likely taken on Friday night, and we didn't come back home until Sunday night, so they had two days to shift it. Very professional outfit (unfortunately!), the car only had a few litres of petrol in it (maybe 2-3) and yet it still hasn't been seen anywhere, so either trucked off or the plates were changed.

It has no particular distinctive features, apart from a flake of paint missing from the centre of the passenger door. It also had our team decals on the roof just above the windows, although these would probably have been removed quickly.

Thanks for the sticky - much appreciated!

Jonny
