danieljg Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 All, Standard scenario for Lotus owners it seems - supermarket car park someone has reversed into my (2 days old) S2 111s. Cracked the fibreglass. I'm in Loughborough at the moment. I live in Dorking, Surrey but ideally don't want to have to go all the way down there. Can anybody recommend a good bodyshop to get the repair work done in the Midlands. From reading I have seen recommendations to others of places such as AK Bodycraft, Newmarket. Obviously I want a decent job done and I want it done as quickly as possible! Cheers D
Phil S1 Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Sorry to hear that, hope you get it sorted. No personal experience but Option 1 in Bromsgrove get good reviews. Not on your doorstep admittedly but nearer than Dorking. http://www.option1sp...co.uk/index.htm

stockhome Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 They are pretty good i have used them before Notvthe most expensive either
MrSimba Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 They look top notch......I fear they might be expensive.... If you want it absolutely perfect then Frank at Option 1 is most definatly your man! He does not charge any more an hour than most other places, he's even cheaper than a few, its just 'perfect' takes a few more hours to do than 'ok'... I'd not take my car anywhere else.
danieljg Posted June 18, 2012 Author Posted June 18, 2012 Thanks for the advice. I've gone with Westgate Classic Cars (Mike Harris). Seems to know what he's doing, 40 years experience in fibreglass body repair........and he came in at under a third of the price of anyone else. http://www.westgateclassics.co.uk/
jimbo07g41 Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 The guy pictured on their homepage use to work for Classic Monthly Magazine. Let me know if you need anymore useful information!
