missis sumner Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Great to hear he's doing well. Best wishes, once again.
Daniel Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I popped over to see Greg tonight and was pleasantly surprised. He's doing pretty well considering. Hopefully see him a few more times before I go back to work too. He's still got his sense of humour Hopefully he comes home soon.
Martin R Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 We have spoken to Ali today. Greg is being moved soon to Mosely Hall hopital to continue his rehabilitation. He is sometimes confused. He was also complaining of his short term memory. This is hardly suprising. He was very pleased to see Daniel ( his mind must be playing up ) We are going to kidnap Ali again Saturday for the evening. I intend to send him the red wine bill as soon as he is better.
mambosasa Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Good to hear on his progress. Red wine with a dash of whiskey should hit the spot
Martin R Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Good to hear on his progress. Red wine with a dash of whiskey should hit the spot Sounds like a recipe for the mother of all hangovers.
Laura Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Thanks for the updates, always nice to hear he is doing ok and improving. Make sure you give Ali a good night Saturday
R.I.B. Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 We have spoken to Ali today. Greg is being moved soon to Mosely Hall hopital to continue his rehabilitation. He is sometimes confused. He was also complaining of his short term memory. This is hardly suprising. When we got there he was a little unsure of which bed he was at and seemed a bit confused, but as soon as we started chatting it was like his brain kicked in and he was laughing and joking with us! It's amazing how our bodies can heal themselves and the brain is just incredible. Martin - Let us know when you hear news of him moving, because i would like to pop and see him again. Also send our love to Ali Phil & Chez
Martin R Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Greg was moved yesterday to Moseley Hall Hospital. He is in ward 9, visiting is 1pm to 5pm and 6pm till 8pm. This is for those that want to go and visit. The have moved him to continue his rehabilitation. There was talk of him havibg a few hours back at home as part of the process.
R.I.B. Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 looking on google maps they've moved him further away from their home, back to the other side of brum. I thought it would of been closer than the city hospital.
R.I.B. Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Went to see Greg today with Russell, Elaine & Ali. The new place he's at is much more like a home, he was chilling in front of the tv with his slippers on and it was great to see how well he's doing. He also seemed very happy that there was a pub next door lol Ali... you're doing a fantastic job and Chez tells me to send her love as she couldn't make it today. Was really good to catch up with you all!
M111 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I haven't been on for ages and was shocked to find this thread. I'm glad to hear that Greg is on the mend. It also nice to witness the support that has been given to Ali through these pages by all the MLOC members. Just one question though Ali, how did you manage to find your way to the Hospital? Wishing both Greg and Ali all the best for a long and healthy future together, Regards, Gary
