Popular Post Daveb99
Big thanks from Alan and myself to all the organisers. I know what goes into it, having been on the inside in recent years as an organiser myself. It was a great day yesterday, LitP is a great formula with the Friday and Saturday stuff, then the runs, breakfast and main event on Sunday. Where else can you do something like that with 150 other Lotus owners, on fantastic roads? For me, it's the friendly, down to earth people who own these wonderful cars that makes all the difference too. Alan remarked on how welcome he was made to feel, and how much he enjoyed chatting to everyone too. It continues to be one of the real highlights of the Lotus calendar. Just 11 days before Lotus in the Peak I embarked on a huge amount of work (for me!) on the front end of my purple 111S - it just wasn't steering right at all. I was absolutely determined to complete it in time, which speaks volumes about how important the event is to me. I was working until 11pm some nights, and surviving on 4-5 hours sleep! I laminated 3 slides to present with the car at Eyam but forgot to get them out. Here they are for anyone interested, retrospectively.

I obviously managed to do a good job of hiding the fact that i'd only managed to do 1 x practice run of the CL route on the previous afternoon. It really was a special ride out I think, no rain, and we only ran into 1 commuter car on the decent bits the entire route.. Cheers, Jason (aka Badger) PS please check the events page, as we also do regular ride outs on other Sundays, typically two per month.
DeanB
It is so nice to read that so many people had such a nice time at the event. I love it. This year was the first time I have contributed nothing to the organisation and/or running of the event since its inception. Although I felt a bit guilty it did mean I was able to really enjoy the run - following Dunc on the Calton Lees run that includes what must be the longest corner in the world (my co-pilot Kate said it had to be a full circle!), with no responsibilities, what was not to like? I also had time to look at the cars and chat to some of the owners - Matt Oxley talking all things s1 Esprit was a particular highlight. Thank you again to everyone that stepped-up to make it happen. You really did make a lot of people very happy.
dobbo
First one we've missed, and sounds like it was a great as usual. Well done to all the organisers and volunteers. Congrats on the fund raising. Having been an Ashbourne Run Group Leader in the past and having a LitP polo shirt, I was wearing it yesterday (even though it made me sad !). Keep the photos coming folks.

DeanB
Bah! You've photoshopped that, I swear! 😊 It is a great series of corners. Kate and I were laughing out loud by the end. Tremendous fun.

It always makes me smile like a cheshire cat. This was the first time that I have tried capturing a video of it, whilst ensuring I was driving legally. Already counting down to LitP 2024.. docdunc
Luke has inspired me to have a bash at editing some of my dashcam footage of the day! Popular Post MarkGT410
Well that was bloody awesome 😎! As a new Lotus owner, LTiP 23 was my first proper event and it was amazing - left with a huge grin on my face - definitely doing LTiP 24!!! Massive thanks to all the volunteers and organisers, especially Ray and Rob, who lead my group from Ashbourne. IMG_5127.mov

It's one of the highlights of LitP to meet other groups coming towards you, some fairly briskly The group in the last video with the cyclist is the Calton Lees "irregulars" CR3, led by Ian and me as tail gunner 💛
