jonnyfox Posted June 5, 2017 Author Posted June 5, 2017 Lol all but the flywheel but it's in great condition Phil. Track Group Leigh, they had it done.
AOvens Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Hi, I've been a bit of a lurker on this thread and it's inspired me to get to work on my Elise. As a first step, I've cleaned out under the front clam and started to fit an Odyssey light weight battery. But the bracket I bought with it isn't going to work. Your bracket looks superb is there anywhere I can buy one? Or did you make and if you did could you please share the dimensions?
jonnyfox Posted June 12, 2017 Author Posted June 12, 2017 There is actually a little too much play in it for my liking so I'm going to have it remade at some point. You'll have to bare with me but I'll get two made.
AOvens Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Cheers, that'd be great. My own suspension rebuild is moving at a glacial pace so baring with you isn't going to be a problem.
jonnyfox Posted June 23, 2017 Author Posted June 23, 2017 So I finally got the car home today ready for the big rebuild but not before I had the dash painted. The windscreen was showing it's mileage so a nice shiny new one went back on.
The Cakes Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Loving the slatwall! Good idea! Plus this car continues to amaze me.
winthattt Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 I thought I have the tidiest garage in the uk, clearly not.
Lars B Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 If no one's said it yet, this is up there with Esprit's major Exige refurb thread on another Lotus based forum. Well played, Sir
Dr H Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Looking amazing. I'm with Lars. I reckon this and George's Exiges will be the two best built ones in the world. Certainly a 'slight' improvement on what Lotus did at the factory
jonnyfox Posted June 27, 2017 Author Posted June 27, 2017 Tar buddy. Not sure if you remember, I had a load of stuff anodised including some blanking plates for the foot well and new floor panels kindly supplied by Mark. Fitted both blanking plates yesterday. The passenger side I bolted using the extinguisher bracket and the drivers side I bonded using 3M VHB tape. Looks neat, certainly an improvement on Duck tape. Floor panels will be one of the final jobs along with the rest of the interior I reckon.
jonnyfox Posted July 3, 2017 Author Posted July 3, 2017 Well that's a bit of a fun sucker, not sure what to do now. Probably the end of this thread
jonnyfox Posted July 3, 2017 Author Posted July 3, 2017 No I mean Photobucket no longer allow free third party hosting, it'll cost $400 a year. Put's a kibosh on the thread really.
richbk Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 yeah , i was getting bored of it to anyway tbh sure you can find a new photo host???
