clicky I don't think he realises its a 50th, seems a shame to let her die being one of 50. Would need alot of time and money spent tho i'm sure, I think he's dreaming at 5k. Want a spare Rich?

I have a 1999 T registered Elise 111S which is in need of new tyres all round. Which would be the best to go for? Does anybody have any recommendations? Thanks Rich.

Thought I'd get her back on the road so I can still drive down to Le Mans. She's been in my Nanna's garage for the last year and a half after suffering HGF (its not just Liz's that get it!) Only just got her running this Sunday. I'd done the headgasket last year but the engine kept running for a minute before cutting out. After undoing some of the fuel lines and flushing the system she seems to run ok (touch wood). Not sure whether to strip the interior for the trip down, have got a set of willans harnesses in there so will look quite good, or put it back to standard? Just getting her MoT'd on Weds. So fingers crossed!

Well, in my prep for my first trackday, I have trawled the various bbs for a trackday insurer for a single event and everyone seems aware of CCI(Egger Lawson) who seem to have a virtual monopoly in the market. I then stumbled on a site here that had a form to fill in. So I did. After the insure/ dont insure questions I have firmly decided that it is NOT an option to not insure. The quote I got was more competitive than CCI and seemed worth pursuing. The company is called CIG Services Ltd. Got more info about the level of cover and it seemed to be the same. Anyhoo, I rang and spoke to Mark Norton(the director of the joint) who apparently has a 340r and tracks himself a…

I'll get some pictures of the Nitrons at the weekend. First impressions (after 130 track miles at Donington today) I started on the softest setting possible on all corners, then worked my way up the scale. At present I'm on 10 clicks from soft on the front, 12 clicks on the rear. This greatly reduces roll and I'm only half way up the scale!! Turn in is vastly improved; it's like a new car, and going to take a while to learn how to drive it again. NO understeer on the AO48s, breaking greatly improved also. Full geo still to be carried out, as with the ride height. These are being sorted on my next Donington day on the 14th June. Donington today w…

Not my day! Just pulled out on to a mini round-about and got hit on the rear wheel arch by a motorcyclist. He skidded out from the lane to my right, think he didnt see me as he was overtaking a car that had also stopped at the junction on the right. I had pulled half way out into the round-about when he skidded out and hit my rear quarter, spinning my car about 45º, with him flying over the back of the car. Luckily he was fairly ok, he broke his forearm. I was just a bit shook up! Luckily a girl came up to me saying she witnessed the whole thing, saying he just shot out into me. Gave my statement to the police and told them what happend. Unfortunatly…

Just had a call from Chris Neils. They're sending me a pass to get on to the Lotus and Noble stands at the motor show. Apparently they will be 'unveiling several exciting new models...' so heres hoping its the supercharged exige and the esprit replacement. Apparently i'll be able to sit in the cars and chat to the designers and engineers. Digicam at the ready First time i've been a VIP, all very exciting.
