John FISH Curtis Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 When I purchased my S1 2/3 years ago, I went for the best car in my budget. It had a head gasket replaced as a precaution, new suspension a few other things plus full service history with all receipts. It had been well looked after and the owner was honestly sad to see it go.... I knew I had made the right choice. S1 K over S2 Kseries, both 120bhp..... with a good driver i dont think there's much in it, so its down to looks of the S1 over an S2. The next "Fish" meeting will be on the 20th of this month, keep your eye out in the Events section. Weather permitting, there will be some S1 and S2's about to have a look and possible drive out in.
Alex B Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Fish will be in his restyled skoda octavia, if there's any mention of rain between now and then...
russelld Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 If i wanted to go for good power the VVC would be deleted anyway, so why pay for it in the first place? The standard head casting and the VVC casting are different, the VVC head can be made to flow more. A standared VVC head will flow better than a modified standard head ( I think ) http://www.sabre-heads.co.uk/2.html Welcome to MLOC
John FISH Curtis Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 The VVC head has larger valves than a standard/DVA/Sabre head conversation.

Alex B Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 If my make it to the next "Fish" meet then your welcome to come out with me in my S2
