Certificate of Provenance

Earlier this year I contacted Lotus with regards to obtaining a Certificate of Provenance for my car. Having paid the required sum, and waiting the required amount of time, today I finally recieved it.

I knew from anecdotal experience that there couldn't be too many S1s around in the same colour combo as mine, but now I have some evidence to back it up.

It would seem that the number of Model Year 2000 111S Elises produced in Deep Purple metalic with black leather interior is: Two. That's mine & one other. :D

It would be interesting to know where the other one is.

Nice. I shall get around to provenance one day: loving my 2006 Lotus Europa S but wishing it was not the inaugural Granite Grey. I fancy the Volvo colour 'Sydney Bay pearl' but how much would a respray cost? Any ideas peeps?

I keep thinking about one for my s190 but in the back of my mind I keep thinking all of the 33 were different specs so what will it tell me, apart from mines number #

A good thing to have though, i think. Especially if you ever came to sell.
